Position Title: Ground Transborder Specialist II
Division: Operations
Department: Transportation Operations
Location: Tlaquepaque-Guadalajara, CEVA FM Mexico

This role is a vital part of our ground and rail family within the logistics sector, focusing on the effective operation and management of cross-border land transportation services. You will be responsible for ensuring that all internal procedures and guidelines are diligently followed to meet customers' requirements and operational excellence.

Purpose of the Role

As a Ground Transborder Specialist II, you will take ownership of the operation and administration of transborder ground services in Mexico, overseeing the end-to-end execution of transportation activities. Your role directly supports the supply chain and transportation processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and alignment with customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, schedule, and monitor land shipments both domestically and crossborder. This includes managing logistics timelines and ensuring proper execution in line with service standards.
  • Administer the financial and administrative aspects of operations, including collecting supporting documents, generating customer invoices, and managing payment provisions for suppliers.
  • Assist in guaranteeing that supply chain and transportation processes meet service level agreements with customers, facilitating seamless and reliable delivery.
  • Maintain financial control of assigned clients, ensuring operational profitability by monitoring costs and opportunities for cost optimisation.
  • Prepare and present key performance indicators (KPIs). Design and implement improvement plans in collaboration with clients and suppliers to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Review, complete, and manage documentation and databases related to transport logistics, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Provide support in investigative tasks related to transport and logistics issues, proposing practical recommendations to resolve challenges.
  • Support the review and implementation of company policies, procedures, and programs pertaining to transportation and logistics, aligning operational needs with organisational objectives.
  • Perform additional assigned duties that contribute to the overall success of the transportation operations team.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Ground Operations Supervisor. There are no direct reports under this role.

Collaborative Relationships

You will work closely with all departments involved in terrestrial logistics processes. This collaboration is essential to ensure operational alignment, timely communication, and successful execution of logistics services.

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transport Engineering, International Business, or related fields.
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of demonstrated experience in domestic and crossborder land logistics, with a strong understanding of service providers, vehicle types, and scope of services offered.
  • Technical Knowledge: Practical expertise in ground logistics operations, documentation control, and applicable transit regulations for various transportation modes is essential.
  • Language Skills: Advanced English proficiency is required to manage international communications effectively.
  • Competencies: Strong teamwork skills, organisational abilities, negotiation aptitude, results orientation, proactivity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
