Pay Range: $60k - $65k
YOUR ROLE
CEVA Logistics is currently hiring a Driver Recruiter located in Houston, TX. The Recruiter will be accountable for managing all aspects of full life-cycle recruitment of Employee Company Driver for the company.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Attracting qualified drivers to CEVA
- Maintaining applicant pipelines
- Screening and interviewing candidates
- Contributing to hiring decisions, along with negotiating and closing offers while ensuring compliance with company policy, employment and DOT laws and regulations.
- Position will require 50% or more travel.
- Develop and execute progressive, integrated, and cost-effective driver recruitment solutions using direct sourcing, industry networking, employee referrals, internet sourcing, job fairs and truck driving school programs.
- Consult with hiring managers to understand business and recruitment needs for drivers.
- Understand market conditions for targeted sources and prepare distinct and effective recruiting and compensation approaches to those markets.
- Develop business partnerships with internal customers, and internal and external sources to effectively plan for and project future staffing needs.
- Work closely with outside sources (vocational, technical and truck driving schools, job service organizations, job boards, and employment agencies) in recruiting applicants.
- Conduct appropriate research and maintain an up-to-date file on various markets to ensure wages are competitive.
- Ensure a positive and consistent corporate image and approach is integrated throughout all recruiting efforts.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of all sources and develop actions for improvement.
- Manage and utilize the applicant tracking system (10th Street) and application files in accordance with EEO, DOT requirements and company policies and procedures, to enhance the identification, tracking and reporting of qualified candidates.
- Maintain contact with the drivers throughout the on boarding process to ensure continuity.
- Travel throughout the United States as needed to recruit for start-ups for new business along with support in high volume hiring.
- Meet minimum hiring/contracting goals set by the department. These goals are evaluated on an annual basis.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred.
- Bachelor Degree strongly preferred; may consider some college with equivalent work experience.
- Minimum three years of experience in recruiting with at least one year recruiting drivers.
- Advanced knowledge and experience working with a recruitment/candidate management system (experience in 10th Street preferred).
- Keen interest in sourcing and networking required, this position will heavily focus on the sourcing/networking aspect of recruiting for drivers.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, federal employment and DOT laws and regulations.
Skills:
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multiple projects to meet deadlines.
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade candidate’s hiring decisions.
Characteristics:
- Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure or opposition and handle stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.
- Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information.
