We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Administrator to join our Accounting team at PT CEVA Air Ocean Indonesia, based in Jakarta. This vital role is focused on managing withholding tax (WHT) and value-added tax (VAT) processes, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations while supporting the overall financial integrity of the company within the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Calculate withholding tax (WHT) promptly and accurately to meet company and regulatory requirements.
- Verify Credit Note (CN) forms to ensure validity and completeness before processing.
- Upload and manage tax invoices for CFI and CLI, maintaining organized and accurate tax records.
- Prepare detailed reconciliations of withholding tax accounts for CAOI and SCAC, ensuring consistency and accuracy in recorded transactions.
- Prepare VAT reconciliations for CFI and CLI, guaranteeing compliance with tax rules and addressing discrepancies proactively.
- Record journal entries for financial activities related to Halliburton and Kerry, ensuring clear audit trails.
- Perform end-of-month journal entries for SCAC, supporting the monthly financial close process.
- Send WHT proofs to vendors as required, maintaining effective communication and documentation for tax reporting purposes.
- Match prepaid WHT for the 23rd fiscal period against proof received from customers to confirm accuracy.
- Request Service Key Files (SKF) in Coretax system, ensuring up-to-date and accurate tax data management.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and customers to resolve tax queries and discrepancies.
- Stay updated on Indonesian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to logistics and finance operations.
- Support the General Ledger and Closing team in audit preparations and tax reporting activities.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in tax administration or accounting, preferably within the logistics or finance sectors.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian tax regulations, including withholding tax and VAT.
- Proficiency in managing financial data, preparing journal entries, and using accounting software.
- Detail-oriented approach with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Good communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Fluency in Indonesian and English (both written and spoken) is advantageous.
