FINANCE MANAGER - SOUTH AFRICA

 

YOUR ROLE

CEVA Logistics is seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to support our Finance function in South Africa. This role is ideal for a proactive finance professional who thrives in leadership, ensures strong financial controls, and drives continuous improvement across end-to-end finance processes.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Team Leadership & Coordination:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of finance specialists across R2R, O2C, and P2P
  • Plan and allocate resources to meet SLAs, KPIs, and financial closing timelines
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support team development
  • Act as the primary escalation point for operational and stakeholder queries

 

Record to Report (R2R):

  • Oversee general ledger activities, including journals, accruals, and provisions
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and P&L analysis, resolving variances
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/Local GAAP and internal policies
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Prepare and review financial and management reports

 

Order to Cash (O2C):

  • Oversee billing, collections, cash application, and credit management
  • Monitor customer accounts and resolve discrepancies and disputes
  • Track and improve key KPIs such as DSO and overdue receivables
  • Ensure adherence to credit policies and support risk assessments

 

Procure to Pay (P2P):

  • Oversee vendor master data, PO processing, invoice verification, and payments
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor queries timeously
  • Monitor and improve P2P KPIs such as on-time payments and invoice backlog
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and controls

 

Controls, Compliance & Process Improvement:

  • Maintain strong internal controls across finance operations
  • Support SOX and internal control requirements where applicable
  • Identify process gaps and drive standardisation, automation, and improvements
  • Support ERP/system enhancements and user acceptance testing
  • Maintain up-to-date SOPs and process documentation

 

 WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years’ experience in finance operations or shared services
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/Local GAAP and financial closing processes
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics)
  • Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, CFA) is advantageous
