PRICING AND QUOTING MANAGER - SOUTH AFRICA
YOUR ROLE

CEVA Logistics is expanding its footprint in South Africa, and we are seeking a skilled and experienced Pricing and Quoting Manager to support our operations in the region. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- AD-HOC and Global RFQ pricing – Providing timely, professional and competitive solutions to Sales and Customer Service – Assisting in RFQ responses.
- Route and Trade Lane development – Product Direction – Contributing to developing/ improving/ maintaining relationship with Key trade lane partners and contributing to frequent review meetings. Highlighting issues that threaten the business.
- Tariff Management / Control/ - Local Information – Ensuring that Origin, Destination and Carrier/ route tariffs are in place and competitive, and facilitate improvements where necessary through feedbacks to RDM/ Product.
- Analysis and reporting – Maintain accurate activity report with the aim of improving performance, reacting to reduction in win rate and reporting to Product/ Sales.
- Career Performance Competitiveness. – Keep aware of carrier performance and customer perception of carriers to ensure good service offerings. Highlight any issue with performance or customer perception to BL.
- Project Logistics Pricing and Procurement – Manage project pricing request, within deadlines. Maintain a supplier base of project logistics specialized suppliers. Attend site and project planning meetings, to ensure we are within budget.
Pricing Management:
- Design and execute pricing strategies to optimize profitability and market competitiveness.
- Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behaviour to inform pricing decisions.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align pricing with organizational objectives.
- Develop pricing models for new products/services and revise existing models as needed.
- Monitor pricing performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure pricing compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Procurement Management:
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans that align with business objectives.
- Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management to secure the best terms and ensure supply chain reliability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and drive innovation.
- Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
- Ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead cross-functional teams to align procurement and pricing strategies with overall business goals.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Develop and present reports to senior leadership on procurement and pricing performance.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pricing, quoting, or commercial strategy, preferably within the logistics, supply chain, or transportation industry.
- Proven experience with tender management and pricing tools.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with pricing software or ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of East African market dynamics, including customer needs, competitor strategies, and regulatory requirements.
