Regional Senior Supervisor

Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Customer Business Solutions roles is to act as a strategic partner to clients, understanding their unique business needs and delivering standard/tailored business solutions that optimize their supply chain performance.  The roles achieve this by leading the business design, IT requirements, testing, training, deployment and support of 4PL Business Solutions.  This Senior Supervisor role leads a team of CBS Professionals.

Key Accountability:

  1. Pre-Sales:
    •    Educate Sales/BD/SD about Business Solutions and the IT landscape
    •    Promote standard solutions, our interfacing capabilities, and 4PL platform benefits
    •    Support Business Development (BD) and Solution Design (SD) teams to build tender responses with appropriate Business Solutions and deliver demonstrations to customers
  2.   Solution Implementation:
    •    Write the detailed Business Solution Requirements (BSR) document and validate it with stakeholders
    •    Lead business-owned configuration, access management, master data management and automation
    •    Coordinate IT-owned development (including customer EDI and internal IT developments)
    •    Configure standard reports/dashboards and create customer reports/dashboards (when required)
    •    Ensure 4PL Operations have standard tools for them to monitor/manage their Data Quality (DQ)
    •    Support BPE’s ownership of the SOP/WI
  3. Roll-Out:
    •    Co-ordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with IT and 4PL Operations
    •    Deliver technical training to 4PL Operations to use Business Solutions
    •    Deliver technical training to 4PL Clients and other external users to use Business Solutions
  4. Run:
    •    Provide support Business Solutions and escalate IT-owned issues to IT Support
    •    Participate in Client QBRs, own the CBS Client Roadmap jointly with the Contract Manager
  5. Continuous Improvement:
    •    Support BPE’s ownership of the Contract Change Control process
    •    Own IT Change Requests and User Stories
    •    Ensure that changes to the CBS Client Roadmap are only made by a structured process
    •    Capture cross-client challenges and participate in Innovation/Transformation projects

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

Education & Qualifications

  • Equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree in business management, Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
  • Project management knowledge/certificate

Experience

  • Global Transportation and Freight Forwarding (> 5 years)
  • Proven track record in customer relationship management and business development
  • Familiarity with freight forwarding operations, customs and documentation processes
  • Strong experience with supply chain software and tools, including TMS (Transportation Management Systems)
  • Proficient in data analysis, reporting, solutions designs and system mappings

Specialist Knowledge & Skills

  • Exceptional aptitude, ability to quickly understand customer’s internal and external supply chain processes, policies & systems with ability to apply and further expand CEVA operating capabilities
  • Broad, enterprise-wide view of the business within depth understanding of business strategy, operating processes and capabilities, business process standardization, enabling technologies, and governance
  • Good/Very good at MS Office Suites – Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint
