Pay Range:  $140k - $160k

Your Role:  The Regional Key Account Manager is responsible for managing strategic or corporate accounts at a regional and global level, developing growth strategies and monitoring industry trends. In this goal, the Regional Key Account Manager communicates account developments with top management and ensures customer satisfaction by coordinating with internal stakeholders; ensures account performance, customer growth, and fulfillment of logistics requirements; and develops strategic partnerships to support long-term account success and customer satisfaction

 

Accountable for leading and managing global sales efforts to develop and secure incremental revenue and market share, and achieve profitable volume growth consistent with marketing plan initiatives. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.  

 

What Are You Going To DO?

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Global Accounts staff to identify global business opportunities and generate profitable sales in both new and existing accounts that meet and exceed new business revenue goals. Develop and implement sales plans that support increased sales.
  • Execute business development plans (forecasts, budgets and operating plans) and provide leadership to the sales and marketing staff, operations and systems delivery groups.
  • In consultation with the senior sales staff, develop business strategies that are consistent with the national vertical market to maximize margins and increase revenue growth.
  • Monitor and review customer sales activity and make strategy adjustments as needed.
  • Build strategic relationships with key contacts within customer organizations to understand opportunities for creating value.
  • Capitalize on value creation opportunities by working closely with the sales and operations management team to develop creative workable solutions to customer needs.
  • Facilitate cross-selling opportunities to increase revenue and leverage relationships in order to better penetrate the market.

What Are We Looking For?    

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Demonstrated sales success and knowledge of sales concepts, methods, and techniques.
  • Cognizant of domestic and international regulatory compliance laws and regulations related to the supply chain and transportation industry. Ability to manage the financial aspects of the department (purchasing, budget preparation and review, financial reporting and monitoring expenses.)
  • PC literate. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software.
  • Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, customers  and vendors.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, supervising, managing, motivating and developing individuals and high performance teams and the ability to allocate decision making authority and/or task responsibilities to others to maximize the organization's and individuals' effectiveness.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate and make formal presentations in meetings and training environments. Ability to develop strong business relationships within all levels of organizations, including senior level executives.
  • Demonstrated skills in organization group process, problem identification and resolution at both a strategic and functional level. Positive, competitive, confident personality with strongly developed persuasive skills and a customer-focused orientation.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

 

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years related experience.
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Valid state issued driver’s license, acceptable driving record and proof of current automobile insurance.

 

 

Preferred:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of work experience and completion of the LDP Program.
    • Minimum 4 years industry experience.

 

 

Travel:  Travel is required at least 75% of the time
