Job Description – Platform Consultant

Department

Contract Logistics IT Delivery

Location

Madrid or Poland

Job Purpose

The Platform Consultant delivers end-to-end solutions for Warehouse Management Systems, Order Management Systems, and system integrations within CEVA Contract Logistics in Europe. The role focuses on understanding business needs, designing functional solutions, and ensuring successful implementation and deployment of technology across multiple sites and customers.

Key Accountabilities

The consultant leads requirement‑gathering workshops with internal teams and customers, defining scope and documenting functional specifications. The role acts as a functional lead, coordinating all parties involved in the configuration and development of WMS, OMS, and integration solutions while recommending improvements or new workflows. It is responsible for configuring systems, preparing and executing integration tests, supporting user acceptance testing, and ensuring correct end-to-end data flows. The consultant produces high-quality documentation, including paper mapping for integrations, and provides system reporting configuration using tools such as Cognos or PowerBI. Additional responsibilities include designing functional solutions for related applications such as slotting, labor management, or invoicing.

Organizational Context

The role is part of the IT Delivery Team and reports to the Project Portfolio Manager – Europe. There are no direct reports. The consultant collaborates daily with CEVA Operations, Technical Teams, Project Managers, and other global functions involved in solution delivery.

Key Working Relationships

Daily collaboration occurs with Contract Logistics Operations for requirement gathering, testing activities, and post‑implementation support. Regular interaction with internal technical teams focuses on solution design, system debugging, and go‑live support. The role also works closely with project managers on planning, reporting, and issue escalation. Weekly interactions are maintained with the Global Transformation Program team to align templates, share best practices, and coordinate with global product management.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Essential

Education requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Logistics or Information Technology. Experience includes three to four years as a Solution Implementer or Business Analyst, strong logistics and supply chain knowledge, hands‑on implementation of Manhattan Active WMS and OMS, and experience within a 3PL environment. Necessary skills include analytical abilities, attention to detail, strong documentation capability, expertise in Manhattan Active configuration, and experience in integration paper mapping. Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to facilitate workshops are required.

Desirable

Additional value comes from certifications in OMS or WMS solutions, project management certifications, experience as an integration specialist, warehouse operational exposure, training delivery experience, and vendor management. Skills such as negotiation, proficiency in another European language, and basic IT project management are beneficial.

Other Information

The role is hybrid, combining remote and on‑site presence depending on project needs. Extensive travel within Europe is expected, with occasional global travel for specific assignments. In certain projects, the consultant may coordinate business analysts, technical teams, and external vendors.

As a global organization, and as part of the CMA CGM Group, diversity is critical to our business success; only when we can reflect the cultures, languages, behaviors and local knowledge of our customers, we can succeed. By employing people with different experiences and abilities, we expand our knowledge and increase our creativity and innovation.

Please note:  Legitimate CEVA Logistics recruitment processes include communication with candidates through recognized professional networks, such as LinkedIn or via an official company email address: firstname.lastname@cevalogistics.com. We recommend that you do not respond to unsolicited business propositions and/or offers from people with whom you are unfamiliar.
