YOUR ROLE
Operating under guidance from their team lead, this role will primarily be responsible for the Monitoring and Production Support of global applications to contribute to a first-class IT Management Service for our operations. Works as SME in an assigned application area, owns the associated SOPs, works on continuous improvement, and the training of peers and associates in the Philippines and Mexico. Joins project teams and L2 application support teams under dotted reporting line.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Performs monitoring and support services for global CEVA IT solutions in Integration, Logistics, Finance and Reporting areas.
- Owns at least one Monitoring area, which means: responsibility for relationships with L2 support teams, responsibility for SOPs and processes and the training of team.
- Actively applies job enlargement: participate in projects and taking on support tasks outside the core monitoring domain.
- Understands the business processes and flows to enable the analysis of business requirements, resolve issues and execute service requests. Supports in writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures for application monitoring.
- Applies standard IT methods, knowledge and CEVA standards and practices to tasks and situations related to providing application production support services
- Responds to unfamiliar, undefined, unexpected, or unstable situations with the professionally prescribed standard response. Uses standard analytical tools and rules to determine root cause and resolve the broad range of application problems
- May be involved in the installation and tuning of modifications, as well as archiving data. Generally this position has light programming skills in the appropriate language to develop necessary “work arounds”. Ensures that applications, services and interfaces are documented and kept current
- Ability to accommodate flexible work schedules to meet support levels for globally deployed applications
- With direct supervision, able to complete daily activities related to prioritization and expected delivery
- Works directly with other IT teams and Business teams to understand, diagnose and resolve requests for assistance
- Ability to learn and comprehend complex tools and systems
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field;
- alternatively, equivalent demonstrated knowledge.
- 2-4 years of IT/Support experience, encompassing infrastructure, application support or monitoring and business experience
- Knowledge in functional domain or technology
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiar with executing SOPs and SOP writing
- Familiar with monitoring and alerting tools
- SQL and DB (any of Oracle, DB2 or (my)SQL Server)
- Basic knowledge of Server OS like Windows. Unix/Linux or CentOS
- Scripting
- Knowledge related to integration tools and solutions
- Robotic process automation (RPA)
