  • YOUR ROLE

     

     

    As a Windows Server Administrator, you will be part of the CEVA IT Shared Services Server Operations Team that provides 24x5 support to CEVA’s I.T. Infrastructure. You will be responsible for system administration of all Windows Servers and underlying infrastructure and any related devices.

     

    You will be expected to maintain and implementation of core Windows Server administration and support applications on Windows Servers to prevent system outages and ensure high quality system availability. You are also expected to have a deep understanding of Microsoft Windows Server technologies, roles, features and services.

     

     

    WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

     

     

    • Administration of CEVA’s core infrastructure services – Windows Operating System, Failover Cluster environment, Print and File Server
    • Working exposure in file and print servers in failover cluster environment.
    • Ensure a high availability and equally resilient Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure.
    • Execute Disaster Recovery tests and patching of the Windows Servers infrastructure on a monthly basis.
    • Able to create and maintain all technical documentation for all operational requirements.
    • Administration and maintenance of the underlying server hardware. Able to communicate/relay repairs to Global hardware vendor’s hands and eyes technical support team.
    • Coordinate efforts with technology staff from multi-environment application (application/system/functional) to resolve technical issues.
    • Implement and support infrastructure projects as directed by the Service Owner or Team Leader.
    • Follow established policies and procedures and determine potential enhancements and improvements.
    • Maintain strict compliance with the approved Change Management procedure.
    • Provide support and coverage by participating in the 24hrs x 5days support rotation approved for the team.
    • This includes coverage for gaps in the rotation due to holidays/vacation/ sickness etc.
    • Provide as required any data when requested to ensure correct management reporting or to ensure compliance with our operational standards.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the line managers.
    • Mentor team members and perform Knowledge Transfer session.

     

     

    WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

     

     

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred or more than 5 years relevant work experience is required.
    • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience supporting Global infrastructure of Windows Server operating systems. Knowledgeable in administering server’s high availability solutions like Microsoft Failover Clustering. Transition disaster recovery sites.
    • Able to drive in troubleshooting/resolving outages.
    • Exposures recovery tools like VM snapshot & restore from backup.
    • Working experience in Microsoft core infrastructure services – Failover Cluster environment & HyperV/VMware hypervisors.
    • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience implementing and supporting complex DNS infrastructures with multiple domains, sites, and ingress/egress points.
    • Hands on in PowerShell and scripting to automate routine tasks, configure settings, troubleshoot issues, and generate reports.
    • Experience on VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization.
    • Experience on Storage replica administration.
    • Excellent oral communication and customer relations skills. Ability to communicate and interact at all levels of the organization hierarchy. Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to a business audience.
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills. Logical thinker, good analytical skills.
    • Possess problem solving, conflict resolution, decision making, and planning skills
    • Able to own an issue and see it through to resolution.
    • Able to work off own initiative. Ability to multitask and excellent time management skills.
    • Ability to manage vendors and suppliers.
    • Excellent Written/ Spoken English language.
