Global IT Service Operations and Support Specialist

Operating under guidance from their manager/team lead, this role will be responsible for the delivery/support of information technology application and configuration of solutions as they relate to the business functions. Assist or participate in designing maintaining and supporting IT applications/infrastructure/ solutions in order to contribute to a first-class IT Management Service for our operations.
Provides maintenance, monitoring and capacity planning of designated systems identifying trends or problems.
Ensure that applications are maintained in a manner that supports delivery of services to multiple platforms, resilience and performance.

Education & Qualifications

University or higher education degree in IT or equivalent

Background in Best IT Practices, preferably ITIL Foundation

Training on Supply Chain Management, or comparable experience in the Logistics industry

Experience

3+ years of overall experience working on IT-related departments

2+ year of working experience using English as the main communication language

1+ year of experience working on large companies involving several specialized IT subareas with defined processes

1+ year of experience providing support/maintenance of IT applications, either as main or secondary activity

 

Experience working for global/international based users/customers

No more than 4 years of overall work experience

Working experience on Production Support of applications, preferrable web.

Good understanding of at least 2 of the following system development lifecycle phases: planning, requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, test, implementation, maintenance or support

Background in relational database model and its principles, with focus on the analysis/diagnostic of Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, etc.

Background of CSS, JavaScript and HTML, focused on Web applications analysis/diagnostic

College or work experience on the use of any system development lifecycle phases for Web based applications.

Experience using Database administration applications (preferably MS SQL Server Management Studio)

Knowledge of Object-Oriented languages, for example ASP.NET (C#) (preferred) or Java

Experience using development IDEs (preferably MS Visual studio)

Experience using software development Source Control applications (preferably MS Team Foundation Server)

 

May be required to provide on-call support & work on flexible schedule Monday to Friday with different shifts involved.
Example shifts:
a) Regular work shift – 8am to 5pm
b) Early shift – 5:30am to 2:30pm
c) Late Shift – 10am to 7pm
