Job Purpose : 

As Contract Logistics Data Analyst you will support our contract logistics global data team by collecting, coordinating, analyzing, and presenting financial and operational data. The role is strongly business-oriented and requires a proactive, hands-on person who can learn to identify what needs to be done, take initiative, and communicate using data to stakeholders at all levels.

You will work closely with multiple departments in contract logistics, our warehousing division, to improve the quality of the reports and provide data-driven insights that improve service performance, productivity, and profitability for our customers.

This role is key in ensuring the data-driven culture built within Contract Logistics to improve the quality of data efficiently and effective. The Contract Logistics Global Programs team drives strategic programs that support 1500 operations around the world in >40 countries on topics like Business Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Solution Design, Project Management, Innovation, Green, etc.  Digital tools and apps provide great value in making these programs more efficient and increasing both engagement and satisfaction of users and operations teams around the globe.  

 

Key Accountabilities : 

  • Proactive Improvement & Initiative: advocate for the role of high-quality data in organizational decision-making. Work closely with data owners from various departments, including Finance, Operations, and others for data alignment and consistency. 
  • Data Coordination & Management: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across the CL Datalake. Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits to identify and rectify data issues. Develop and deploy procedures to conduct periodic master data audits with the goal to identify inconsistencies, unused or duplicate definitions, incomplete or corrupt data hierarchies and clean them up for better system performance and to enable users to optimize system capabilities.
  • Business Support: work with several individuals across the world, with regional, country admins and contributors to define data standards. Provide guidance and support to collaborators on data management best practices.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Utilize Business Intelligence, QlikSense, Power Apps, and other tools to generate value added information for key users in the business areas. Maintain the monthly KPIs for tracking and communicating to stakeholders.
  • Exploration: Engage pro-actively with other departments (e.g. SD, ZDS, BPE, Smart, Innovation) and other CEVA functions (e.g IT, HR, Finance, etc) to support data management and quality campaigns in their areas

 

Key Working Relationships : 

Internal :

  • Periodic sessions with CL Data team and other Technical Engineers to discuss roadmap, progress, best-practices and new experiences.
  • Frequent project meetings with key project members for delivering the tools & apps.  This typically is a multi-functional team with members of global teams, regional teams and local teams (e.g. key users).
  • Frequent engagement with CEVA teams to ensure alignment in definitions, and for the correct technology utilization.
  • Frequent engagement with other SOE disciplines (e.g. SD, ZDS, BPE, Smart, Innovation) and other CEVA functions (e.g IT, HR, Finance, etc) to explore data opportunities.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills : 

  • Education & Qualifications : Bachelor degree, preferably in the area of Data Management, Information Technology or (Supply Chain) Management 
  • Experience : 

Essential : Some experience in data management, data governance, or a similar role, Experience in projects with multi-disciplinary teams, including agile and waterfall approach and Knowledge of logistics industry

Desirable : Understanding of data quality principles and best practices, Experience in working in an International business environment and Experience in Project Management 

  • Specialist knowledge and skills : 

Essential : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and Skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Desirable : Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Experience with Qliksense/ Qlikview, Understanding of 6 sigma/Lean tools, Skills in software (‘citizen’) development platforms like Microsoft Visual Studio, low code, no code, etc and Skills in BI Analytics tools like Micosoft Power BI, Tableau or Qlik

  • Interpersonal & Communication skills : Excellent communication and collaboration skills, Able to develop meaningful relationships and connections with key stakeholders and Good English Level
