This role is based at our Marseille office, located in the Tour Mirabeau, and plays a critical part in supporting our global logistics operations, particularly focused on air and ocean freight sectors.
About the Role
As a Global Insurance Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating insurance-related activities within CEVA France SASU, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards in the logistics industry. This role requires working closely with internal teams across different regions and external insurance providers to mitigate risks associated with our global supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer global insurance programmes related to air and ocean logistics operations, including cargo and liability coverage.
- Conduct thorough due diligence (CDD) to assess risk exposure and ensure appropriate insurance coverage aligns with operational requirements.
- Collaborate with risk management, compliance, and finance teams to monitor insurance claims, policy renewals, and updates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with external insurance brokers and underwriters, ensuring efficient communication and resolution of issues.
- Support internal stakeholders by providing expert guidance on insurance matters, contracts, and claims processes.
- Monitor changes in insurance regulations and market trends to recommend adjustments to insurance programmes.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management on insurance status, risk assessments, and related financial impacts.
- Participate in audits and governance activities related to insurance compliance and risk management.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will bring demonstrated experience in insurance management, preferably in the logistics, air, or ocean freight sectors. We value individuals with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a complex global environment.
- Relevant professional qualification in insurance, risk management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in corporate insurance, particularly involving global supply chains or logistics operations.
- Exceptional organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse complex information and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in French or other languages is advantageous.
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
As a global organization, and as part of the CMA CGM Group, diversity is critical to our business success; only when we can reflect the cultures, languages, behaviors and local knowledge of our customers, we can succeed. By employing people with different experiences and abilities, we expand our knowledge and increase our creativity and innovation.
