YOUR ROLE: Transformation Expert – A&O competitiveness

 

As a Transformation Expert within CEVA, you will work closely with senior leadership to manage and drive strategic and transformation projects for our Air & Ocean Freight Forwarding division. Reporting to Chief Transformation Officer, you will also have a functional line to the Global Air & Ocean Freight Leader.

 

You will be in charge of:

· Preparing strategic decisions on company orientations

· Defining performance improvement levers, with a focus on tools and processes improvement, with an end-to-end view

· Coordinating operational transformation projects

· Supporting key actions enabling P&L ambitions delivery

· Accompanying integration of acquired companies and contributing to the setup of ‘OneCEVA’ standards

· Embedding change and transformation within the local organizations, with co-construction of initiatives and animation of the local transformation relays network for A&O business line

 

The position will be located in Paris (La Défense, Emblem tower), with potential travel to Marseille and other destinations upon need.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Strategic Decision preparation and communication

· Analyze current business context and challenges

· Develop and evaluate strategic options in collaboration with key stakeholders

· Present well-structured scenarios for decision-making, ensuring clarity and impact

· Facilitate workshops and meetings to support decision processes

· Ensure strategic ambition is timed and sized, with appropriate KPIs

· Assist in establishing governance structures for project implementation

· Contribute to communication around strategic plan and directions for A&O product

 

Performance improvement, focusing on tools and processes

· Review current end to end booking process

· Define roadblocks, pain points

· Gather relevant stakeholders to discuss common improvement journey

· Agree on improvement levers, actions, owners, timeline and governance moving forward to implement planned evolutions

· Engineer KPIs to monitor starting point and progress in time

· Quantify expected financial benefits and productivity improvement targets

· Initiate change on CEVA A&O top management to accompany improvement roadmap

 

Coordination of Transformation Projects

· Collaborate with the Product Leader and Chief Transformation Officer to identify and prioritize key transformation projects

· Define project objectives, timelines, milestones, and key stakeholders

· Proactively propose ideas, consult and get feedback from local transformation relays and local leadership to enrich program content and incorporate feedback

· Accompany program launch, through relevant communication

· Identify risks and roadblocks, providing actionable mitigation plans

 

Partnering with Product Leadership

· Offer visibility on projects status and raise alerts when delays arise to keep expected transformation pace

· Recommend best practices, leveraging insights from other CEVA products and various geographies

· Provide ad-hoc support on operational topics, project content, benchmarking, and market research

· Manage logistics for meetings and document preparation as required, notably during product seminars or important strategic forums

 

Driving P&L Ambitions

· Diagnose the root causes of underperformance and suggest improvements, notably through processes, tools and systems upgrade

· Propose levers to improve margins, optimize cost structures, and drive commercial initiatives

· Present actionable ideas to the Product Leadership Team and Chief Transformation Officer, and organize appropriate feedback loops

· Align stakeholders around key decisions and ensure organizational buy-in

 

Battleplan monitoring

· Collaborate with ‘Strategic Planning & Performance’ team to follow transformation actions implementation

· Facilitate implementation: act as a facilitator to resolve operational bottlenecks, escalating critical issues when required.

· Reporting progress: prepare monthly synthetic and actionable updates to update senior management on the progress of the turnaround plan, and prepare decisions when required to move forward

 

Integration Support

· Support key milestones of integration process for recently acquired companies

· Assess cultural gaps and suggest approach to common ways of working

· Ensure involvement of all relevant stakeholders, to make sure no idea is left apart

 

Support to key events / seminars preparation

· Define agenda, presenters and objectives of each session with Product Leader

· Coordinate preparation and ensure timely consolidation of master document

· Ensure flawless organization and logistics, and provide MoM / summary of decisions made and next steps following event

Communication around actions and projects

· Manage internal communication: escalate challenges upwards, and provide timely updates downwards and horizontally

· Formalize presentations for Executive Committee meetings to ensure key projects and outcomes are communicated effectively

 

Pressure-Testing

· Challenge project objectives, ambition, and resource allocation in a proactive manner

· Assess methodologies and adjust strategies to ensure quality and timely delivery

· Quickly identify any bottleneck, suggest potential solutions to move ahead and assess cost/benefit for each main option

· Ensure required investments and capabilities are secured for successful project execution

· Suggest ideas to accelerate delivery and increase impact, on any possible occasion

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

· Master’s degree with 10+ years, ideally mixing part of consulting experience with corporate background in transformation / project management / internal control or audit

· Strong business acumen and ability to quickly grasp new project dimensions (e.g., objectives, KPIs, business rationale)

· Proven experience in leading transformation projects and managing senior stakeholders

· Ideally, knowledge of processes improvement methodology, and experience related to projects involving Tech / AI transformation aspects

· Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) in English, with experience in delivering compelling presentations

· Strong autonomy, ownership, drive, agility, pugnacity, determination in getting things done

· Ability to quickly adapt to new challenges and learn about logistics topics
