YOUR ROLE

In this position you will act as a Global international tax advisor. You will assist the International Tax Team with global tax restructurings and tax projects led by the headquarters, you will also assist the regions and countries, taking local tax law requirements into account, in close coordination with our ambitious commercial objectives. You will be based at the HQ in Marseille and be part of the Global Tax Department. You will report to the International Tax Director. Ideally, you are currently working at a Big Four firm or a comparable consultancy and are looking to gain your first in-house experience.

 

WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO

  • Assist the Global tax department on global tax planning initiatives to manage the company’s consolidated effective tax rate and cash tax position
  • Support the team in identifying direct tax opportunities and pursuing these right to implementation
  • Monitor a changing tax environment around the globe and assess the impact on the Group tax structure under the supervision of the Global tax team
  • Monitor transfer pricing documentation
  • Manage relationships with external advisors in multiple countries
  • Support the team in identifying and mitigating tax risks to which the Group might be exposed
  • Project management e.g., the implementation of structuring projects
  • Assist in tax audits around the world
  • Assist the Tax Reporting Manager (tax provisioning, DTA analyses etc.)
  • Under the supervision of the Global tax team provide tax advice to defined countries and the business
  • M&A activities

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR :

  • Master degree in tax law or fiscal economics or similar
  • 4 to 6 years of tax advisory experience, ideally with some experience in an international tax environment.Tax consulting experience at Big4 or similar preferred 
  • Basic knowledge of direct international tax law and transactional tax concepts and its practical applications
  • Ability to work independently but also in (virtual) teams; Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines; Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English and, preferably, French; Ability to build and maintain strong relationships in a collaborative fashion; Creative and strong analytical thinking skills and able to develop innovative solutions; Ability to communicate complete tax issues to non-tax audience; Persistent on principles but practical in finding solutions and is result-driven; Hands-on and committed individual with an attitude to get things
