YOUR ROLE
The Manager, Investment and Cash is responsible for overseeing the investment, CAPEX, ICAP, and cash forecasting processes in collaboration with the Treasury team. This role ensures the ICAP validation process is followed and continuously improved, investment proposals are properly challenged and instructed, and comprehensive reporting is delivered to support strategic decision-making by the CEO and CFO.
WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO
· Investment:
o Ensure the ICAP validation process (investment validation process) is followed rigorously and continuously improved to enhance control and efficiency.
o Guarantee that investments are correctly instructed and aligned with corporate policies and strategic objectives.
o Challenge investment proposals before they are presented to the CEO and CFO, ensuring thorough analysis and alignment with financial and business goals.
o Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting on investments, including status updates, performance metrics, and variance analysis.
o Oversee the maintenance and development of the Agile tool to support investment tracking, reporting, and decision-making.
· CAPEX and Cash:
o Prepare and provide monthly and quarterly reporting on CAPEX, including budget versus actual comparisons and forecast updates.
o Lead the budget and forecast process for cash and CAPEX, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business objectives.
o Improve visibility on cash generation and consumption in collaboration with the Treasury team, for both operating and investing cash flows.
o Further integrate cash flow considerations into the investment decision-making process to optimize liquidity and returns.
· Other:
o Maintain direct communication with CMA CGM as required to ensure alignment and coordination on investment and cash-related matters.
ABOUT YOU
· Relevant bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
· MBA, CFA, or professional certification (e.g., CPA, Treasury certification)
· 5+ years in finance, treasury, or investment management with experience in CAPEX, investment, and cash forecasting
· Experience in shipping, logistics, or multinational corporations
· Investment analysis and valuation, financial modeling and forecasting
· CAPEX and cash flow management
· Proficiency in financial tools, accounting and consolidation tools (e.g., ERP, SAP, OS)
· Advanced Excel and Power BI skills
· Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
· Ability to challenge proposals constructively
· Excellent written and verbal communication, Leadership and team management, Stakeholder management at executive level, Cross-cultural collaboration
