YOUR ROLE
The Transport Operations Analyst, based from our Truganina VIC offices, plays an important role in supporting the Ground Transport VIC business plan objectives, with a primary focus on boosting profitability and fostering customer retention.
You’ll partner with the VIC Ground Transport leadership team by providing actionable insights through analysis of operational and financial performance data.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
- Conduct thorough assessments of current Ground Transport processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement, focusing on delivering high-quality distribution services to customers
- Examine connote profitability, focusing on significant trend shifts, changes in customer profiles, and carrier cost adjustments
- Support logistics transformation projects from initiation to successful go-live, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, while also achieving commercial targets for client services
- Support digital transformation efforts in Ground Transport, including the adoption of automation, data analytics, and real-time tracking systems to improve efficiency & client distribution services
- Support carrier procurement, analysing shortfalls in our network, improve scope of services and help reduce our cost base.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

- Familiarity with logistics technologies, including Transportation Management Systems (TMS),and routing tools
- Advanced skills in MS Excel, reporting and use of related tools / systems
- Sound communication, time management and relationship management skills
- Bonus: experience working with business intelligence tools, such as Qlik, Power BI, SAP or similar.
In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
