Hourly Rate: $30.00 hourly + OT as needed

Shift: Mid-day, Tuesday-Saturday

 

YOUR ROLE

Are you recognized for your warehouse expertise and equipment operation skills? Do you enjoy leading a team while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment? As a Material Handler Lead, you will play a key role in supporting our 3M Air Export operation by coordinating daily warehouse activities, providing work direction to team members, and ensuring operational excellence through safety, quality, and customer service.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Deliver outstanding customer service by collaborating with internal and external customers and providing timely communication and operational support.
  • Serve as the team lead by prioritizing work, assigning daily tasks, providing work direction, and assisting with employee training.
  • Perform advanced warehouse operations, ensuring team members are trained across multiple operational areas.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, including handling oversized and heavy freight.
  • Coordinate the receiving, storage, movement, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products.
  • Organize inventory by placing materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to established procedures and product specifications.
  • Build and dismantle crates, pallets, and other specialized packaging using hand and power tools.
  • Complete and verify shipping, receiving, inventory, and warehouse documentation to ensure accuracy and inventory integrity.
  • Monitor inventory movement and assist in resolving operational or service-related issues.
  • Support warehouse maintenance activities to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Prepare, pick, count, load, and move materials using manual equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; Minimum 5 years of warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience.

Credentials: Forklift Certification required within 3–6 months of hire (if not already certified).

Skills: Ability to operate hand and power tools, including hand truck, pallet jack, and related warehouse equipment; Basic proficiency in Internet, web-based and job specific software applications; Ability to become forklift certified, when required.

Characteristics: Ability to prioritize and assign work and previous experience leading or mentoring warehouse employees preferred. Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs; Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to read, understand, and complete warehouse documentation, checklists, and shipping/receiving forms accurately.
