Are you interested in helping shape a ramp-up? Then join us in developing a new 50,000 m² European DC location in Meppen and contribute your expertise as an Operations Manager (m/f/d) in Outbound!
Your future responsibilities:
- Leading and developing the outbound operations team
- Ensuring the timely processing of customer orders and customer satisfaction
- Strategic resource planning and optimal coordination of order volumes and staffing
- Managing, monitoring, and optimizing work processes, as well as reviewing process quality
- Ensuring compliance with contractual service levels and productivity targets
- Initiating and implementing improvement projects
- Analyzing and monitoring key performance indicators and supporting the team in implementing measures
- Participating in the preparation and execution of internal and external audits and certifications
What we’re looking for:
- A bachelor’s degree in economics with a focus on logistics or a comparable field, orcompleted vocational training in a relevant field
- Several years of hands-on logistics experience in a logistics company and experience in managing a team (>50 employees, ideally in a multi-shift system)
- Comprehensive knowledge of shipping and container scheduling
- A fair, motivating, and consistent leadership style
- A strong hands-on approach, organizational skills, and a high level of customer and service awareness
- Proficiency in standard MS Office applications
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (ideally SAP)
- Good written and spoken English skills
