YOUR ROLE
Directs and coordinates activities of the branch to obtain optimum efficiency and excellence of operations and maximize profits by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers and supervisors.
The Branch Manager is responsible for the operational and financial results of the branch with complete P&L responsibility by partnering with company leaders and their teams to develop and execute strategies that foster growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness. This includes demonstrating business leadership, both for the sales and operational organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes, but not limited to:
Front Office:
- With the Head of Front Office of the region, the branch manager functionally manages the sales team to ensure they are aligned on the goals
- Support the Key accounts Management team
- Visit Key Branch accounts
- Maintains contact with customers and outside vendors.
- Support Sales team:
- Customer facing
- Promotes organization in industry or trade associations
- Analyzes customer performance through direct observation, interpretation of reports and collaboration with others
Middle Office:
- Analyzes operational performance through direct observation, interpretation of reports and collaboration with others
- Structures the branch based on business
- Plans, develops and implements organization policies and goals.
- Plans office layout, develops office budget
- Anticipates future development based on long and mid-term goals
- Ensure the quality of the service via quality of data and processes via regular audits
- Takes ownership for designing, building, and implementing programs, processes and tools to help set employees for success
- Deploys continuous improvement efforts to drive productivity, reduce operating costs, streamline work processes, and work collaboratively with others to provide seamless quality customer service
- Accountable for compliance with US and foreign regulations and company policies
- Builds the annual budget and defines the resources needed to achieve it: monitors regularly the progress in order to adjust and ensure the achievement of the budget.
Back office
- Ensures that SOI is reaching the Company requirements
- Supports collection and monitors accounts receivable and works to collect overdue amounts.
- Claims management
- Safety management in compliance with US and foreign regulations and company policies
- Facility management
- Responsible to prepare external and internal Audits, and to define and implement corrective actions in case of non-conformity
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly supervises 2-10 direct reports.
- Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Empower the operations managers, sales employees, and any direct reports to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
- Coach, mentor, and develop the operations managers, sales employees and any direct reports including providing effective performance feedback, with the assistance of Human Resources, when necessary.
- Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members
- Maintain transparent communication within the branch and within the region

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Eight (8) plus years experience in international freight forwarding
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Proficient command of the English language – Spanish a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
