YOUR ROLE

Directs and manages the facilities and maintenance departments.

· Plans, organizes, and manages the maintenance, repair, construction and alteration of buildings, grounds, and equipment.

· Develops and implements policies, procedures, and work standards to achieve goals and objectives.

· Responsible for developing and planning a systematic maintenance management program within its budgetary limitations.

· Participates in the planning, design, review and integration of construction and remodeling projects.

· Administers policies and procedures.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

· Manage 700sq ft facility with both automation and manual processing. Automation and experience with CoBots required

· Ladder Logic experience required for full scope maintenance of site’s MHS

· Maintenance and management of facility’s access control & fire systems

· Successfully implement & manage project integrations and start ups

· Manage facility in accordance with FDA, HACCP & SQF requirements & guidelines

· Execute robust preventative maintenance program (CMMS)

· Full responsibility of managing all facility assets

· Inspects & directs the scheduling, assignment, and review of all work of facilities and maintenance personnel to ensure that buildings, structures, grounds, and equipment are maintained and repaired according to established standards.

· Analyzes HVAC systems, conveyor systems, packaging equipment, and lighting systems

· Recommends and implements policies, procedures, and work standards involving facilities and maintenance projects that improve efficiency and effectiveness.

· Confers with administrators and other officials regarding facility’s needs, funding, planning, design, feasibility, estimating costs and timing of maintenance, alteration, and capital outlay projects.

· Prepares building construction and service agreement contracts.

· Estimates project cost and prepares budget request indicating priority for work to be performed.

· Oversees, directs, and schedules maintenance personnel and workers engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventative maintenance.

· Creates, implements, and revises an annual budget for expenditures for facilities.

· Read and interpret complex architectural and engineering designs, plans and specifications. Analyze and interpret technical manuals.

· Provides leadership and guidance to all staff for continual improvement of key functions and activities to improve efficiency and meet each day’s business needs, minimize overtime, and reduce labor

· Responsible for managing the administrative tasks of validating Kronos punches and correcting missed punches (daily), executing the Corrective Action Responses, and implementing corrective changes to meet the required timelines outlined in the process document and executing the Quarterly/Annual Employee Performance Review processes meeting the HR timeline as published.

· Assists and coordinates building maintenance needs with landlords and/or outside contractors

· Participate in need assessments for new facilities, site/city exploration, and initial lease negotiations

· Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work and assisting HR with new employee orientation and the termination of employees

· Assists with the investigation of accidents and preparation of detailed accident reports

· Execute a sustainable 5S program within the site

· Responsible for additional tasks as assigned to meet or exceed the expectations of customers and management.

WHAT DO YOU BRING?

· Business or Engineering degree preferred

· Automation experience required (Cobot)

· Ladder Logic experience required

· Experience in an FDA regulated site required

· Project integration & management experience required

· Minimum 5 years’ experience with increasing level of responsibility within a large distribution site

· Advanced technical skills & ability to use technology to improve efficiency of operations

· Experience in implementing LEAN Initiatives & establishing 5S programs

· Electrical experience or license to use 480/277- and 208/120-volt phase and single-phase systems

· Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, SAP, WMS)

· Uses intuition and experience to improve business systems and processes. Must identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

· Gathers and analyzes information skillfully and develops alternative solutions.

· Works well in group problem solving situations. Manages conflict. Solicits customer feedback to improve service.

· Demonstrated ability of managing cost performance, supply/demand forecasting and distribution execution with short life cycle – slim profit margin products.

· Ability to establish credibility across the organization and engage others to ensure the most effective supply chain solutions.

· Flexibility to seek and incorporate input from varied business partners – solid track record for managing and developing a team.

· Experience in integrating leaner business processes.
