Rating and Billing Team Lead

YOUR ROLE
Lead and oversee the rating and billing team to ensure accurate and timely account processing that maximizes margin and revenue. Provide guidance, training, and support to team members while modeling and acting in accordance with company values and guiding principles.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Lead rating and billing clerks, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching and feedback.
- Develop and maintain excellent customer service with internal and external customers.
- Oversee rating, auditing, and billing functions for accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure resolution of data entry issues and billing discrepancies.
- Approve and validate charter bills and service-level entries.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of procedures and ensure compliance.
- Serve as escalation point for internal and external customer inquiries.
- Ensure team delivers prompt and professional responses to customer needs.
- Prepare and review reports on billing accuracy, team productivity, and KPIs.
- Correct billing errors.
- Manifest charter bills.
- Update customer lists.
- Ensure data entry staff is familiar with current policies and procedures.
- Enter bills by service level.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum two to three years of rating/billing experience, including supervisory responsibilities
Preferred: Industry experience and familiarity with rating/billing systems
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical documents.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and billing systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
