Customer Service Employee

CEVA Logistics is a leading international logistics service provider. In the Benelux region, we operate over 50 locations spread across 30 sites, where more than 11,000 colleagues contribute daily to our success.

 

YOUR ROLE

As a Customer Service Employee, you will join the dynamic Customer Service team in Nieuwegein. The team comprises 3 Customer Service representatives, 2 inventory employees, and 6 administrative (sales) staff members. In this role, you will report directly to the Contract Supervisor.

 

Together with your team, you will ensure optimal service delivery to our clients, which operate in the industrial sector (energy and mining), making a significant difference. You will perform your duties during day shifts from 08:00 to 17:30, Monday through Friday. It's important to note that the team and the customers are English speakers, therefore the tasks are entirely conducted in English.

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers. You will effectively address any issues that arise in the logistics processes, maintaining constant communication with the customer to manage expectations. You will liaise continuously with your department (Customer Service, inventory management, and sales), warehouse operations, external service providers, and the customer.

 

Your specific responsibilities include:

  • Engaging in extensive customer contact via teams and email.
  • Correctly and promptly addressing questions and complaints.
  • Analyzing process-related problems and providing customers with efficient solutions.
  • Building and maintaining a strong relationship with the customer.
  • Initiating transport requests and Value-Added Service assignments at the customer's request.
  • Ensuring accurate administration, preparing (daily) reports, KPI reports, and attending meetings (both internally and online with the customer).
  • Coordinating the daily logistics operations.
  • Analyzing KPIs and initiating and implementing improvement proposals.
  • Working on investigations over claims from the customers and other third parties in the supply chain.
  • Supporting the contract supervisor and the contract manager with data analysis and case reviews.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for an energetic new colleague who wants to master customer service work in logistics. With your entrepreneurial attitude and communication skills, there is no problem you can't solve. Building strong customer relationships and elevating your team are top priorities for you. You are also analytically strong and process oriented. You enjoy working on improvements and process optimization.

You are attentive with a strong eye for details while remaining flexible and able to pass smoothly from one request to another.

 

Additionally, you bring the following knowledge and experience:

  • MBO+ or HBO level of working and thinking.
  • 1-3 years of working with customer contact or experience in Customer Service
  • Professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Familiarity with logistics processes
  • Good experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Good mail and phone etiquette
