YOUR ROLE
CEVA Logistics are seeking an Operations Manager to be responsible for the end‑to‑end management of CEVA’s Car in Containers (CIC) operations, ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant handling of customer vehicles from receipt through to final dispatch.
This role plays a critical part in delivering operational excellence within Finished Vehicle Logistics, driving performance, quality and continuous improvement while supporting growth across the automotive sector.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
As a CIC Operations Manager, you will lead and oversee all aspects of Car in Containers activity, ensuring operations are planned and executed efficiently, meeting customer requirements for on‑time delivery, damage‑free handling and full compliance. You will manage day to day operational activity across people, processes and resources, optimising labour, equipment and space utilisation to meet both customer expectations and cost targets. You will ensure adherence to CEVA standards, customer SOPs and all health, safety and compliance requirements.
A key focus of the role is driving a strong safety culture, ensuring all operations are conducted in line with HSE regulations, internal policies and best practice. You will monitor performance against KPIs, identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality and operational efficiency. You will work closely with customers, internal stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure service excellence, support contract requirements, and identify opportunities for operational and commercial growth within the automotive vertical.
You will also lead, coach and develop your team, fostering a high performance culture aligned to CEVA values and focused on continuous improvement.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in this role, you will have strong operations management experience within logistics, ideally in automotive, containerised freight, or finished vehicle logistics environments.
You will have a proven track record of managing end‑to‑end operations, leading teams, and delivering against KPIs in fast‑paced, customer‑driven environments. Strong knowledge of health, safety and compliance standards is essential. You will be commercially aware, with the ability to manage costs, optimise resources and identify improvement opportunities that drive performance and customer satisfaction.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills are key, along with the ability to influence at all levels and build strong working relationships internally and externally. Experience of continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean) and familiarity with operational systems and reporting tools would be advantageous.
WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?
With a genuine culture of reward and recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey.
We offer a benefits package that includes competitive annual leave entitlement with a fantastic holiday buy scheme, pension and life assurance along with access to an employee benefits platform that offers discounts on gym memberships and money off vouchers for a diverse range of retail, travel and hospitality brands.
