YOUR ROLE
Responsible for leading the implementation and execution of the LCL shipments Centralization project and development of the LCL product with as goal to develop volumes, own services and profitable growth. Set the strategy and support BD and the global/Regional LCL teams to create new solutions and operational excellence that meet the customer’s requirements and win parts of their business.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Leadership & Governance
- Implementation and execution of the LCL shipments Centralization project
- Trucking project set up and implementation
- Define the regional policy and guide regions during the role out.
- Build and maintain own LCL services network.
- Provide regions with transport plan.
- Make sure that all corporate policies are followed and respected.
- Oversee the LCL business development activities.
- Develop business plans and strategies for the LCL ocean freight products.
- Assist on creation of hubs in various regions.
- To improve the performance of staff and providing the appropriate support and guidance.
- To deploy and manage assigned budgets and to take corrective action where appropriate.
- Be responsible for developing the company’s LCL business and increasing LCL volume and productivity.
- Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to structure, focus, and develop the product in line with Performance Plan Achievement.
Co-loader Relationship Management
- Create tools to analyze coloadrs rates level and composition of tariff•
Global Procurement Strategy
- Assist Global Procurement team
- Central Procurement of NAC & FAK Tariffs
- Purchase optimization
Controlling & Analytics
- Analysis / Monitoring of own LCL network volume to provide own network optimization solutions.
- Ensure that the use of tools and processes are properly mastered by the regions head.
- Lead operational strategy and processes in link with global policy.
Rate Date Base & Digital Sales Channel
- Update and supply costing to top management
- Maintain a clear directive in cost control on CFS, trucking, carriers & coloaders with the goal to reduce cost and increase profitability.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Degree in logistics or equivalent (not mandatory)
- Professional accreditation(s) preferred.
- 10+ years industry experience specifically in consolidation if possible.
- Experience/working knowledge of LCL product is a must.
- Have creativity and visions.
- Strong teamwork
- Good motivator
- Good verbal & written communicator and presentation
- Proven organization skills required, including the ability to multi-task and self-direct to produce detail oriented,
- Able to priorities and accurate work while meeting tight deadlines.
- Have the ability to efficiently solve problems.
- Strong PC skills
Desirable
- Post graduate business qualification, including an MBA (not mandatory)
- Over 10 years’ experience in a Senior position in the freight forwarding business.
- 5 Year experience in a Commercial role
