YOUR ROLE
Ceva Logistics are seeking a Freight Forwarding Coordinator plays a key role within our Cardiff operations, managing multimodal shipments across sea, air, road and courier and covering both imports and exports.
This role is responsible for the end to end coordination of freight movements, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, compliantly and in line with customer expectations, while delivering high‑quality service for a key client.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
As a Freight Forwarding Coordinator, you will plan and manage international consignments in line with customer instructions, ensuring all shipments are processed accurately and delivered on time across multiple transport modes. You will handle full end to end shipment management, including opening job files, arranging shipping documentation and pre‑alerts, coordinating customs clearance instructions, and monitoring movements throughout the shipment lifecycle.
You will ensure full compliance with customs regulations, AEO standards and company policies, while maintaining accurate system data and meeting required data quality KPIs. You will also manage invoicing, job costing, and supplier queries within agreed timeframes. A key element of the role is communication, working closely with customers, overseas offices, carriers (shipping lines, airlines and hauliers), and internal teams to provide updates, resolve issues and maintain smooth operational flow.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in this role, you will have experience in freight forwarding, with a strong understanding of both import and export operations across multiple transport modes. You will be highly organised, detail focused and confident managing multiple shipments simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and compliance at every stage. Knowledge of HMRC customs procedures, including CPC and HS codes, is important, and experience in customs processes would be advantageous.
Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, as you will work directly with a key customer as well as global partners and suppliers. You will be comfortable working under pressure, managing priorities and adapting to changing operational needs.
