Airfreight Team Leader

YOUR ROLE:

To coordinate the activities of the team in order to meet the changing needs of customers. Manage the performance of agents within the team; act as an agent for certain major customers.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Act as a resource person for CEVA , suppliers, and customer service department (both internal and external) and offer superior customer service.
  • Ensure to follow ISO procedures and transport regulations and measure performance.
  • Perform operational activities as an agent (reservations, delivery, quotes, follow-up and customer service).
  • Manage conflicts in an innovative manner.
  • Communicate, in a timely manner, all relevant information and issues to the immediate supervisor.
  • Assist Department Manager in different financial areas and in people management.
  • Plan, organize and distribute the workload to team members.
  • Hold team members accountable.
  • Create a work climate based on respect and cooperation.
  • Depending on operational needs, complete required trainings including but not limited to the good distribution practices of pharmaceutical products, the transportation of dangerous goods
  • Measure and evaluate the performance of team members and put in place the necessary improvement plans.
  • Others duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A diploma of collegiate studies or the academic equivalent, and experience in  air freight.

Five (5) years’ experience in the industry and 1-2 years’ experience in supervision.  

Very good knowledge of MS Office environment; business acumen; bilingualism a must (French and English) both oral and written; leadership; integrity; excellent judgment; ability to negotiate; problem solving; team spirit; good decision-making; strong communication skills and composure.
