SUMMARY


The main foci of the rule are:

- Support compliance to usage of Operational systems and respective enhancements

- Training & Support & System UAT

- Monitoring Operational KPIs

- Be the direct link between the Business Line and end users

- Involvement in ONETMS deployment project, be responsible for various tasks assigned such as UAT, support of end user training

- Support of Innovation & Digital

- Operational Continuous Improvement

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Data Analysis - Utilize data analysis tools to identify areas for improvement, inefficiencies, and opportunities within Operations
  • Performance/ Continuous Improvement -
  • - Collaborate with Operations to develop and implement action plan to enhance operational performance, reduce cost to serve and increase service quality (flawless operations)
  • - Use the OCA and ACA outcomes and findings to identify gaps and areas of improvement. Create and steer the Action plan with Operations
  • Performance Improvement/ Change Request - Identify improvement opportunities in the operational systems, assess changes proposed by the end users and create (or review) change request. Submit and discuss CR with the BL at Cluster, Regional, Global level (and eventually with IT). Follow-up respective implementation.
  • Training & Support - Act as a trainer for systems used in operations for newcomers and existing operators. Organize regular skill up trainings and support to staff on best practices and the effective use of technology.
  • Training & Support - Train new systems' features (all systems used by Air and Ocean operations)
  • Support - Level 2 systems' support
  • Process Optimization - Conduct regular assessments of operational processes and workflows, recommending and implementing changes to optimize performance
  • System UAT - Responsible for UAT, help develop test scripts and provide pro-active feedback to the Regional/ Global System and Process Teams and IT team
  • Dashboards UAT - Participate in dashboards deployment UAT
  • Documentation creation - Create local Work Instructions (WI) upon approval of a Change Request, or for an exception from the Global/ Regional Team or for a WI already defined as ‘local’ in the process, to explain how the specific tasks are to be performed by the end user
  • Documentation creation - Support the creation of global/regional WIs, if required by the Business Line Global team
  • Innovation & Digital - Support digital transformation initiatives by participating in Global/ Regional Proof of Concept (POC) projects for new technologies and system that can optimize operations. Assist in evaluating innovative solutions that align with company goals
  • Innovation & Digital - Lead the implementation process from POC to full deployment for new technologies and systems. Train users and drive locally the change management
  • Customer Business Implementation - On request, support Business Implementation / BD in regard to customer implementation
  • Master Data Management - Key Owner of MDM. Validate duplicated organizations
  • Master Data Management - Key Owner of MDM. Conduct regular clean up and maintenance of the organizations (suppliers/ customers/ local vendors)
  • Establish efficient two ways communication between the BL (Cluster, Regional and Global) and the end users – sharing the processes, news, training, with the users and highlighting to Business Lines the issues, risks, suggestions for improvement, from the end users
  • OCA and ACA - Participate and help facilitating the OCA (Ocean Classification Assessment) and ACA (Air Classification Assessment) program to assess and understand the level of compliance to the Global Target Operating Process.
  • Participate in the OCA and ACA outcome and findings creation.
  • Customers Business Implementation - for non- standard solution, participate in the validation of the solution designed by the Customer Business Solution (when EDI or non-EDI) or Business Implementation
  • Customers EDI Implementation - Contribute to the solution UAT
  • Customer Business Implementation - Handover the Customer SOP for the TMS involved (if required) to Operations and train Operations accordingly (when EDI or non-EDI)
  • Customer Business Implementation - Train Operations on Work Instructions when necessary (when non-standard solution)
  • Customer Business Implementation - On request, support Business Implementation / Sales in regards to customer implementation.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Forwarding Education
  • Supply Chain training – be it specific theoretical and practical training or ‘on the job' training
  • CargoWise system knowledge and experiences in operating CargoWise in day to day operations is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of specific Air or Ocean processes and related tools
