YOUR ROLE
CEVA Logistics is looking for a Freight Co-ordinator to join our Air and Ocean team in Shannon.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will coordinate international import and export shipments, ensuring they are processed efficiently and accurately while delivering excellent service to our customers.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
You will manage the day-to-day processing of import and export shipments, working closely with customers, airlines, local and overseas offices, and internal teams to keep shipments moving smoothly.
Maintaining regular contact with customers, you will provide proactive shipment updates, respond to queries and resolve operational issues, escalating these to your supervisor or manager where required.
You will ensure shipment records and operational systems are accurate and up to date, and that files are invoiced correctly and on time. You will also ensure all activities comply with Irish Revenue regulations and applicable IATA security requirements.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You will have at least one year’s air freight operational experience within a freight forwarding environment, with a good understanding of industry terminology and documentation, including Air Waybills, Master Air Waybills and customs documents.
You will be organised, proactive and customer focused, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Confident communicating by telephone, email and face to face, you will build effective working relationships and be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
You will hold a Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification and be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel. Qualifications or training in aviation security, IATA or dangerous goods would be advantageous.
