YOUR ROLE

 

Reporting to the Region HR leader, this position is responsible for driving a competitive, efficient and service oriented region compensation and benefit system and strategy designed to attract and retain high caliber employees in support of an employee-oriented and high performing culture.

 

The Key Focal Areas of this role:

 

  • To support Region Leadership by leading/advising on region Compensation & Benefits matters, which typically include salary review / hiring proposals, calculation of annual performance bonuses and guidance on any international mobility issues (in collaboration with Global Reward).
  • To ensure fair and consistent application of company resources and adherence to policies and procedures in accordance with CEVA’s Global Reward Policy, Business Rules and local requirements.
  • To drive implementation of strategic and tactical reward initiatives in the region as part of the CEVA’s Global HR strategy.
  • To support the internal or outsourced payroll as the region requires management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

1. Rewards Implementation, Executive and Governance

 

  • Partnering with the region’s functional heads, implement CEVA’s Global Reward policies and processes to continuously support achievement of CEVA’s HR and business strategy and objectives (desired market positioning, employee demographics, market practice, etc).
  • Critically monitor and review local Reward competitiveness and processes and proactively drive amendments and solutions including working with local/country HR teams to standardize compensation and benefit processes and ensure consistency within global and local structures
  • Support the negotiation of Collective Labour Agreements, where applicable
  • Support on the development of Bonus Scorecards in line with the Management Incentive Plan (MIP) policy guidelines as issued by Global Reward.
  • Calculate bonus payments based on ‘bonusable’ salaries as at 31 December
  • Develop and implement Salary Review Guidelines and support HR/Region leaders to develop increase proposals
  • Lead and drive the annual salary review cycle and exercise which includes:
    • Developing the Annual Salary Budget Forecast for all countries in the Region (for approval for Global Reward) and work with local/country Finance to implement/budget for (may need to link up with Global Finance for confirmation).
    • Developing the Annual Salary Ranges for the Region (for approval by Global Reward)
    • Determining employee’s RSP/Compa-Ratio as and when needed
    • Own the CompSource tool and provide salary benchmarking as requested.
    • Support budgetary process
    • Responsible for the calculation of C & B accruals/bridge/adjustment.
    • Support people, global job framework, job mapping and C&B analysis

 

2. Employee Benefits

 

  • Plan and administer life and health insurance, disability, pension programs etc.
  • Monitors competitive trends in benefits and evaluates alternatives and costs.
  • Develop, recommend and implement new benefits packages (in collaboration with Global Reward e.g. global insurance pooling)
  • Work closely with Global Reward to design and deliver retention plan/schemes for the Cluster
  • Participates in negotiation of agreements with insurance carriers and financial institutions for administration of benefits programs and provides technical backup to union negotiations on benefits matters.
  • Communicate / announce / brief employees on the current or new policies introduced by conducting communication session

 

 

3. International Mobility

 

  • Be fully familiar with the Global Mobility policy and adhere to the terms.
  • Provide financial inputs into costings (with support from Global Reward) to facilitate the recruiter and/or HR professional to provide robust costs estimates or job offers.
  • Manage and determine the tax exposure for employees in the cluster to ensure tax filing is accurate and timely
  • Ensure all provide invoices are approved an paid in accordance with payment terms.
  • Support the home/host execution of payrolls, shadow payroll or BOXX payroll
  • Monitor international employment law and government regulations to ensure company is compliant at the local level.
  • Ensure all necessary work / residence permits are obtained in accordance with local/country labour regulations
  • Ensure local/country HR works with the relocating employee to ensure quick adjustment to new location

 

 

4. Job Evaluation and Global Job Framework

 

  • Act as the custodian of annual region job evaluation process to establish/update job sizes for job promotions and ranking exercises
  • Be the global job framework career level ‘expert’ and key use of the Mercer Global Grading Tool.
  • Work with local/country HR to update job descriptions and organization charts where required or necessary to ensure all relevant job related information is accurate for management analysis or decision making
  • Ensure roll out of training material within the region in order to train HR professionals and managers in use and/or understand the system
  • Approve all local career levels and may involve carrying out comprehensive job evaluations
  • Setup region GJF panel (where necessary) to facilitate understanding and participation in career level.
  • Support Global Reward to facilitate career level decisions for managers and below (all Head & above evaluations must be approved by Global Reward/HR)

 

5. Global Recognition Program

 

  • Drive the Global Recognition Program by acting as the Champion for the program in the Region
  • Lead the selection process and manage all updates to Global Reward

 

6. Corporate HR/Global Head Office Reward Support

 

  • Manage the annual pay review, salary planning and bonus payout and bonus setting process (not part of collective agreement or impacted by statutory increases) based in the Region
  • Support Corporate HR/GHO Reward with the implementation and execution of reward related processes such as of annual pay review and bonus payout for manager and above career level Corporate employees based in the region

 

7. Market intelligence & Metrics

 

  • Develop market comparisons and provide recommendations for compensation, benefit and incentive proposals (may involve working with local/country pay/benefits data providers)
  • Prepare KPIs, costings, analysis and metrics as required by the Cluster leadership and Global Reward

 

8. Projects

 

  • On agreed ad-hoc projects, drive activities required to ensure achievement of agreed objectives.
  • Special tasks as and when assigned by Superior

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Essential Skillsets:

 

  • University degree in Human Resources, business, economics and/or mathematics
  • Recognized professional qualification in relevant area
  • At least 8 years Compensation & Benefits experience within a multinational company
  • Operational HR experience within an international Human Resources Department
  • Experience of working in matrix organizations
  • Experience in applying Job Evaluation methodology, Bonus Plans, Compensation Planning and Benefit Design
  • Proven ability to influence and interact effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Strong analysis/quantitative skills and the ability to translate analysis into actionable tasks
  • Ability to actively seek assistance and support from and work with Global Reward
  • Experience in domestic and international global relocation including understanding how to articulate new programs, set boundaries for risk mitigation and cost control at the strategic level as well as supporting at operational level
  • Knowledge of Job Evaluation and Grading methodology
  • Sound computer skills, including Microsoft office programs such as Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills

 

Desirable Skillsets:

 

  • Mobility experience, knowledge of immigration / tax law and previous experience working with expatriate policies and programs including tax equalization
  • Experience gained in tactical HR on a global scale
  • Experience in applying Consulting firm Job Evaluation and Grading techniques
  • Logistics industry experience
  • Fluency in multiple languages
  • Skilled in Change Management and/or Project Management methodology
  • Ability to partner with a HR team that may have changing priorities
  • Payroll, IR/ER and employment law knowledge gained in a number of countries
