WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Support the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) operations for assigned warehouses/in-plant sites under the guidance of the QHSE Specialist/Manager. The incumbent will contribute to the implementation of CEVA’s HSE programs and management systems (including ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) through day-to-day execution, inspections, reporting, employee engagement, and follow-up of corrective actions.
This role focuses on site-level compliance support and operational HSE execution, contributing to CEVA and customer requirements while promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace culture.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Lead Risk Management for Assigned Sites
-
Lead hazard identification activities, site walkthroughs, and task-based risk assessments.
-
Review, develop, and approve Risk Assessments (RA), SWPs, and environmental assessments where applicable.
-
Ensure risk controls are practical, implemented, and effectively communicated to operations.
-
Monitor effectiveness of controls and drive closure of gaps and follow-up actions.
-
Escalate high-risk issues and systemic safety concerns to site and country management with clear recommendations.

Lead and Deliver HSE Training & Awareness
-
Plan, coordinate, and deliver HSE inductions, refresher training, and targeted awareness sessions.

Conduct and oversee toolbox talks using CEVA-approved materials, including:

PPE compliance and usage
-
Emergency response and evacuation
-
Environmental awareness
-
Risk management and safe work behaviour
-
Incident learning and safety alerts
-
MHE and equipment safety
-
Coach supervisors and line leaders on effective safety communication.

Ensure training records, competency tracking, and compliance reporting are accurate and up to date.

Lead Incident, Near Miss and Unsafe Condition Management
The QHSE Specialist leads investigations with increasing independence and complexity.

Immediate Response
-
Lead site-level incident response, ensuring scene safety, containment, and regulatory notification where required.
-
Advise operations on immediate corrective and preventive controls.
-
Investigation & Analysis
-
Conduct incident investigations independently for medium to high-risk cases.
-
Apply root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, ICAM-lite, causal factor analysis).
-
Identify system, process, behavioural, and environmental contributors.
-
Corrective & Preventive Actions
-
Define meaningful corrective and preventive actions aligned to risk hierarchy.
-
Track action closure, validate effectiveness, and challenge inadequate controls.
-
Maintain accurate incident records in CEVA and customer systems.
-
QHSE Documentation, Compliance & Audits
-
Maintain and review QHSE documentation including SOPs, work instructions, registers, and emergency plans.
-
Ensure document control compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
-
Prepare sites for internal, customer, and regulatory audits and inspections.
-
Support closure of audit findings and track corrective actions to completion.

Site Inspections, Assurance & Field Engagement
-
Plan and conduct structured site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
-
Analyse trends from inspection findings and recommend targeted interventions.
-
Provide on-the-ground coaching to supervisors and frontline teams.
-
Actively reinforce safe behaviours and challenge unsafe acts or conditions.
-
Safety Engagement & Culture Development
-
Lead site-level safety campaigns, monthly focus topics, and engagement initiatives.
-
Manage safety observation programmes and analyse behavioural trends.
-
Facilitate monthly Safety Committee meetings for assigned sites.
-
Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and leadership involvement.
-
Contractor, Vendor & Visitor Safety Management
-
Oversee contractor safety compliance including RA, method statements, and permit-to-work requirements.
-
Conduct contractor safety briefings and site safety inductions.
-
Coordinate with operations to ensure high-risk activities are properly controlled.
-
Monitor contractor performance and escalate repeated non-compliance.
-
Reporting, Analytics & Governance
-
Monthly safety inspection records and follow-up tracking
-
Consolidate and analyse QHSE data including incidents, inspections, audits and KPIs (e.g., man-hours, incident logs, inspection stats)
-
Prepare monthly site-level QHSE reports and dashboards.

Support Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) with insights, trends and recommendations.

Drive data accuracy and consistency across CEVA and customer reporting platforms.
-
Support annual updates of Emergency Response Plans and BCP documents.
-
Workplace Safety & Health meeting support (minutes, attendance, action trackers)

Strong understanding of logistics, warehouse and operational safety risks

Effective stakeholder management across operations, customers and contractors

Confident in influencing supervisors and managers without direct authority

Structured, analytical and disciplined in follow-up and governance
Qualifications / Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
-
WSQ / WSH-related certifications required
-
3–8 years of HSE experience in logistics, warehousing or operations environment
-
Hands-on field experience with strong site presence
-
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards
-
Registered Safety Officer with MOM is a must
-
Experience handling audits, customer requirements and regulatory inspections is an advantage
