YOUR ROLE
CEVA Logistics are seeking a HR Advisor to play a key role within our Halewood site, supporting the delivery of high‑quality HR services across our Finished Vehicle Logistics contract with Jaguar Land Rover.
This role provides hands on, day to day HR support, with a strong focus on absence management and case handling, ensuring consistent application of policies, supporting managers and contributing to a positive employee experience in a fast‑paced operational environment. This is a part‑time position working 30 hours per week, with flexibility on how these hours are structured across the week to suit both the individual and the needs of the business, offering a level of work‑life balance while maintaining strong on‑site support.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
As an HR Advisor, you will take the lead on employee relations case management across the site, supporting managers with a range of people matters including absence, disciplinaries, grievances and performance management. A key focus of the role will be managing and reducing absence levels, providing guidance to managers, ensuring policies are followed, and supporting return‑to‑work strategies. You will help drive consistent and fair processes while balancing business needs and employee wellbeing.
You will partner closely with site leadership, operations teams and trade union representatives, building strong working relationships and providing practical HR advice in a unionised environment. You will support the wider HR agenda on site, including reporting, HR administration and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also contribute to creating a positive culture by promoting engagement, consistency and best practice across the operation. This role offers exposure to a busy logistics and manufacturing environment, providing the opportunity to develop your HR capability and gain experience working closely with operational leaders.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The ideal candidate will have experience working in an HR environment, particularly supporting employee relations and case management activity. You will have a good understanding of absence management processes and be confident advising managers on handling cases fairly and effectively. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential.
You will be a confident communicator, able to build relationships at all levels, including working with union representatives and operational stakeholders. A proactive, pragmatic and solution‑focused approach is key in this fast‑paced environment. Previous experience within logistics, manufacturing or a unionised setting would be highly beneficial but is not essential. Working towards or holding a CIPD qualification would be advantageous, with support available for further development.
WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?
With a genuine culture of reward and recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey. We offer a benefits package that includes competitive annual leave entitlement with a fantastic holiday buy scheme, pension and life assurance along with access to an employee benefits platform that offers discounts on gym memberships and money off vouchers for a diverse range of retail, travel and hospitality brands. There’s no doubt that you will be compensated for your hard work and commitment so if you’d like to work for one of the top Logistics providers in the world then please do get in touch to find your next role.
