YOUR ROLE

 

Our operation based in Stanford-le-Hope is looking for a dynamic and people-focused Warehouse Manager to join the team. This role will take overall responsibility for leading multiple warehouse contracts within the facility, ensuring operational performance, client expectations, and KPI targets are consistently achieved and where possible exceeded.

This is a Monday to Friday role, with flexibility required to support weekend cover when needed.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

  • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse teams to drive strong performance, productivity, and operational efficiency while promoting a positive, engaging culture focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and employee development
  • Build strong client relationships through regular communication, operational reviews, and performance updates
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, HSEQ, and statutory requirements at all times
  • Work closely with Compliance teams to maintain high operational and audit standards, including BRCGS food safety standards
  • Ensure all teams are appropriately trained, motivated, and equipped with the skills needed to succeed
  • Maintain accurate reporting and provide operational analysis for senior management reviews
  • Support and participate in regular business reviews and operational meetings with senior stakeholders
  • Manage resource planning and operational processes to deliver maximum efficiency and service performance
  • Drive operational excellence through strong leadership, effective communication, and robust performance management processes, delivering continuous improvement across the site

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Our ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or 3PL environment, with a proven track record of managing large teams. They will have experience delivering operational targets while managing resources, headcount, and budgets effectively. A strong background in leading continuous improvement initiatives such as LEAN or Kaizen is essential. They will be confident working to KPIs and deadlines, with the ability to analyse data and produce clear, accurate reports. Strong people management skills are required, including performance management, coaching, and handling disciplinary processes. They will also have a solid understanding of health & safety requirements, P&L drivers, and operational planning within a dynamic logistics environment.
