YOUR ROLE

Our Stowmarket operation is looking for a driven and enthusiastic Value-Added Services (VAS) Supervisor to join the team. In this key role, you will lead the day-to-day management, performance, and delivery of rework and value-added services activities across the contract, ensuring operational excellence, high-quality standards, and exceptional customer service.

This is a Monday to Friday role, 07:00-15:30.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the VAS Manager you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of rework and value-added services activities across the contract. Leading from the front, you will be responsible for driving productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while supporting and developing your team. Key responsibilities will include:

•    Lead and motivate a team of operatives, ensuring resources are effectively planned to meet daily operational targets.
•    Monitor productivity, performance, and quality, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and throughput.
•    Deliver training and support onboarding, ensuring compliance with SOPs, customer requirements, and health & safety standards.
•    Build strong customer relationships, providing updates on project progress, service levels, and operational performance.
•    Oversee quality control processes, including sample approvals and inspections, ensuring work meets customer specifications.
•    Maintain accurate inventory records, stock control, and workplace organisation standards.
•    Resolve operational issues, manage workloads effectively, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and reduce waste.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced operations supervisor with a background in fast-paced warehouse, logistics, or 3PL environments. You should have a proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams while maintaining strong performance and productivity standards. Confidence in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and strong computer skills is essential.  Strong communication skills are key, along with the ability to build effective working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. You should be proactive, hands-on when needed, and confident working in a dynamic operational setting. A continuous improvement mindset is important, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions. You’ll need to be organised, calm under pressure, and able to adapt to changing priorities. Previous experience in a contract logistics or 3PL environment is highly desirable.
