YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Customer Service Coordinator to join our Air & Ocean team at Banksmeadow NSW. In this role, you will manage end-to-end communication and service delivery for a portfolio of air and ocean freight clients. Acting as the key liaison between customers and operational teams, you’ll coordinate status updates, resolve issues, and help deliver consistent, high-quality service throughout the freight lifecycle.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned air and ocean import/export customers
• Monitor shipment milestones, resolve delays, and provide proactive updates
• Prepare quotes, routing proposals, and track margin and cost-to-serve
• Investigate service failures or claims and manage resolution with internal and external parties
• Maintain customer SOPs, rate matrices, and KPI dashboards
• Support business reviews with data insights and customer reporting
• Collaborate with business development and pricing teams to support account retention and growth
• Maintain accurate records and support audit and compliance processes.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate has existing customer service experience in freight forwarding together with:

• Completion of Year 12 (vocational qualification in logistics desirable)
• Proficiency in a freight management system such as CargoWise
• Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups)
• Familiarity with Incoterms and freight documentation
• Strong problem-solving, communication and time-management skills
• A willingness to work flexibly, including outside of standard business hours, to meet business or customer requirements (ad-hoc)

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
