YOUR ROLE
The QHSE Advisor is based from our Banksmeadow NSW offices and ensures the relevant compliance and continually improve the health, safety, environmental management and quality processes of CEVA workplaces in Australia and/or New Zealand.
The role includes ICAM incident investigation, performance auditing, potential new site assessments, work stream leadership as it relates to QHSE on projects, facilitating coaching and training, workers compensation claims management and some report / presentation generation.
This position is offered on a permanent full-time basis.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
- Undertake cyclic visitation to all sites to ensure ongoing commitment to CEVA ANZ’s QHSE standards
- Support training needs analysis, plan compilation and training delivery
- Audit site performance using CEVA ANZ’s audit tools
- Coordinate rehabilitation for injured workers
- Monitor and manage QHSE software used by internal customers
- Manage workstream leadership of QHSE for new site and new contract projects
- Coordinate CEVA ANZ’s Drug and Alcohol testing regime
- Engage with State Safety Regulator and other external providers (WCD, Risk Tech, SAI Global, EML)
- Support, coach, mentor other QHSE team members if required.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate has:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator certification.
- ISO 9001/14001/45001 auditor qualifications.
- 1-3 years WHS experience in an Industrial / Supply Chain Environments
- Knowledge of and competence in the development of Risk Assessments, Safe Work Practices across the HSE spectrum.
- General knowledge and familiarisation of ISO standards, in particular 9001, 14001 & 45001.
- Ability to engage positively with frontline workers and management.
In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
