YOUR ROLE

 

Reporting to the Pacific QHSE Manager, the QHSE Advisor will work closely with managers and employees across our NSW operations to support a strong culture of quality, safety, health and environment.

 

The role can be flexibly based from one of our Western Sydney locations (Orchard Hills, Erskine Park, Minchinbury or Kemps Creek) with travel to support across our sites as required.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Specifically, you will:

 

  • Provide oversight, governance and support in the operational and functional application of CEVA’s QHSE management systems.
  • Identify hazards/risks by undertaking audits, inspections, and accident investigations to eliminate or minimise the risks so far as is reasonably practicable
  • Provide coaching, training, and support to employees and managers on health, safety, and environmental matters in accordance with CEVA and legislative requirements.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Our ideal candidate has a vocational or tertiary qualification in health and safety, with some experience in a similar role, as well as:

 

  • Knowledge of Australian health and safety legislation and safety management systems
  • Experience in audit and accident/incident investigation
  • Excellent customer, communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to interpret and communicate relevant policy, procedure and practice
  • Valid driver licence and own vehicle with flexibility to travel to sites across Greater Melbourne on a regular basis.
  • Bonus: applied knowledge of ISO 9000, 45001 and/or 14001.

 

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
