YOUR ROLE
The WMS Operations Analyst based at Orchard Hills NSW supports the effective use, implementation and continuous improvement of CEVA’s warehouse management systems across Contract Logistics operations in Australia and New Zealand.
The role develops functional WMS capability by supporting operational users, assisting with implementations, testing, training, issue resolution and process improvement activities for new and existing customers.
This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week).
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
- Develop functional knowledge of CEVA’s warehouse management systems, including current and future WMS platforms as required.
- Support WMS implementation activities for new customers, site start-ups and operational changes, including data collection, process documentation, testing, training and go-live support.
- Assist WMS Operations Specialists and WMS Operations Managers to translate operational and customer requirements into effective WMS processes, workflows and site-level operating practices.
- Provide day-to-day support to Contract Logistics operations on WMS queries, process issues, training needs and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Assist with user acceptance testing, scenario testing, process validation and issue tracking to support successful implementation and operational readiness.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of WMS-related documentation, including process guides, training material, test scripts, issue logs and implementation documentation.
- Escalate integration, hardware, reporting, master data and system issues to the appropriate WMS, IT or operational stakeholders for resolution.
- Log, monitor and follow up support tickets as directed, ensuring issues are clearly documented and escalated based on priority, operational impact and customer requirements.
- Contribute to the identification of WMS enhancements, process improvements and operational efficiencies across existing sites and customer operations.
- Build strong working relationships with Operations, Solution Design, IT, customers and the Global WMS Centre of Excellence to support consistent WMS usage and service delivery.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate has:
- Completion of secondary education, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in a warehousing, distribution, fulfilment, inventory, transport or third-party logistics environment.
- Experience using a WMS, RF device or related operational system in receiving, putaway, picking, dispatch, inventory control, returns or stocktake processes.
- Experience following operational procedures, resolving basic process issues and escalating matters appropriately.
- Understanding of core warehouse processes, including inbound, outbound, inventory management, stock control and dispatch.
- Ability to learn WMS functionality, workflows, system terminology and operational impacts.
- Ability to interpret operational procedures, system workflows and basic data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to document issues, test scenarios, process steps and system outcomes clearly.
- Ability to work with operational data, including master data, inventory information, order information and exception reporting.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive, professional and customer-focused approach.
- Able to work effectively with operational teams, SMEs and support functions.
- Able to follow direction, ask questions, escalate issues and learn quickly.
- Able to explain process or system issues in a practical, operationally relevant way.
