Pay Range: $70k - $80k
YOUR ROLE
At CEVA Lead Logistics (CLL), we are providing customers with outstanding Visibility and Control across their entire Supply Chain. Our operations teams located across the globe in our 6 Control Towers provide services around Supplier and Order Management, Transport Planning and Monitoring, as well as managing performance and freight cost.
Based in one of CLL’s regional Control Towers and reporting to the Control Tower Operations Manager, this role leads a team of Operations Coordinators in their daily operations within the control tower to ensure on time delivery and timely follow ups with suppliers and other stakeholders. This includes management of shipment booking, event (milestone) management, as well as timely resolution of issues escalated by the team.
This role ensures operational services are executed in an effective and efficient manner across several transport service providers and different modes of transport, while maintaining a high level of quality and meeting performance and cost targets.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Guide team members in the resolution of issues arising during day-to-day business; act as initial point of escalation for operational issues Identify root causes, define and implement corrective actions as necessary to prevent / address issues as they arise
- Monitor and manage compliance and performance of carriers and suppliers with the use of Dashboards, ensuring follow up with respective supply chain stakeholders
- Attend customer meetings on operational topics where required, provide input as required to prepare team r meetings, monthly reviews and quarterly business reviews
- Support the on-boarding of suppliers to ensure SOP compliance
- Monitor KPIs, identify continuous improvement opportunities and discuss suggestions with Management
- Contribute to the design and implementation of improvements to processes or policies in collaboration with other CLL regional functions
- Manage other tasks assigned by Management
- Schedule and manage team workload, overtime and vacation planning to ensure business continuity and prevent disruption to operations
- Ensure adherence to established work standards and work processes
- Provide input to Management in performance evaluation and professional development of team members, including training / development plans and succession planning
- Performs other duties as assigned
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education:
- Equivalent of a Diploma or higher in Logistics, 3PL, Transportation or Supply Chain Management, related field or comparable work experience
- Diploma in in business administration or Supply Chain Management or Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics or Commerce
Skills:
- Strong IT skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize work and to assign workload to team members according to resource availability
- Desired
- Experience CEVA and Supply Chain Solutions and the systems deployed, especially Matrix SCM and Infor Nexus
- Advanced knowledge of office products, Excel, PPT, Word, Visio
Experience:
- 3+ years operational experience in Freight forwarding, logistics or International Supply Chain Management.
- 1 year of experience in managing a team
- Freight Forwarding experience and a thorough understanding of transport and logistics processes in at least one mode of transport (air/ocean/ground)
- Freight Forwarding and / or warehousing experience in one of the following industries: Pharma / Healthcare, Automotive, Aerospace, High-tech
- Knowledge of applicable industry standards and / or certifications, such as ISO 9001, GDP and others; experience with quality management
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) mandatory
- Willingness to work in an international environment
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset high degree of self-motivation
- Proven ability to lead a team effectively
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, good time management skills
- Highly dependable and reliable in ensuring priorities are met effectively
- Willingness to occasionally support work schedules outside of standard business hours (evenings / weekends)
- Travel: 10%
