Role Overview
You will shape and govern data architecture across APAC, ensuring alignment with global architecture principles and standards. You will translate business strategy and regional requirements into scalable data platforms, domain models, integration patterns, governance controls, analytics and reporting capabilities, and implementation roadmaps.

You will also provide solution and application architecture leadership, designing end-to-end solutions spanning applications, BI and analytics, APIs, event-driven integrations, data domain products, and cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the APAC data architecture strategy, standards, reference architectures, and roadmaps in alignment with Group direction and regional business priorities.
  • Partner with Head Office and APAC stakeholders to translate enterprise architecture principles and business requirements into scalable regional solutions.
  • Embed data governance, ownership, metadata, lineage, quality, master and reference data, security, privacy, residency, and lifecycle requirements into solution designs.
  • Design scalable data platforms—including warehouses, lakehouses, data products, and analytics environments—and end-to-end architectures spanning applications, APIs, events, integrations, and cloud services.
  • Shape architectures for data science, advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI, incorporating MLOps/LLMOps and responsible AI controls.
  • Lead architecture reviews and design assurance for internal and vendor-led solutions, documenting key decisions, managing architectural risks, and verifying implementation against approved designs.
  • Guide delivery teams throughout implementation, resolve design and technical issues, and support data migration, integration, and cloud adoption initiatives in accordance with Head Office guidelines.
  • Coach regional teams, promote reusable patterns and consistent documentation, and evaluate emerging technologies to support innovative, compliant solutions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 12 years of relevant technology experience, including 5 years in data, solution, or enterprise architecture, with demonstrated architecture leadership in a regional or global organisation.
  • Strong experience designing modern data platforms and integration ecosystems, and governing both vendor-led and internally delivered solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, lineage, data quality, security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML and data science lifecycles, production deployment patterns, and responsible AI controls.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL sufficient to evaluate technical designs.
  • Professional fluency in English, with excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills, including the ability to influence senior business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, detail-oriented, business-focused approach and the ability to collaborate across cultures, organisational boundaries, and time zones.

Why Join CMA CGM?

  • Be part of a global leader in shipping and logistics with ambitious growth plans.
  • Work in a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive environment.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and regional exposure.
