You will be based in Lagos, Nigeria, within our local CMA CGM Nigeria structure.

As part of a market-leading structure, and reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely with the Sales Director, you will be responsible for supporting the Group's development in a number of activities, both maritime and inland.

Working with the General Manager, local sales teams and the relevant head office departments, you will be involved in developing the following activities:

  • Intermodal: the ability to implement combined sea and land transport solutions is a priority for the Group. In a landlocked market, the development of ‘corridor’ activities is at the heart of our new entity's strategy, particularly towards Northern Nigeria.
  • Carrying out commercial studies on behalf of General Management: Depending on market trends and opportunities, you will be required to carry out studies to encourage the emergence of new products/solutions and check their profitability.
  • Value Added Services: the Group is developing a new range of services (asset hedging, partner matchmaking, trade finance, etc.) aimed at adding value to the services offered to our customers. Actively developing these complementary products is a priority. Your role will be to support the VAS champion in developing this type of high value-added sales.
  • Cross-selling: The Group is looking to develop its contract logistics business. You will be responsible for devising and implementing the marketing and promotion strategy for this service offering and its roll-out, in conjunction with the agency's management. This activity may be coordinated with the CEVA agency if one is set up in Nigeria.

On each of your assignments, you will be responsible for setting up the appropriate reporting tools to report on progress and performance to agency management and head office.

  • In accordance with the provisions of Article L122-1 of the French National Service Code, only candidates aged between 18 and 28 who are European nationals will be eligible for this VIE assignment.
  • 5 years' higher education, such as a Grande Ecole business school or a major university.
