DATA FACTORY MANAGER / SENIOR DATA ARCHITECT
Based in France (Marseille or Puteaux).
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
The Senior Data Architect will join the Global IT Data and Digital organization at CEVA Logistics within the Global CIO organization and will report to the Head of the CEVA Global Data Factory.
This role operates in complex decision-making environments impacting the CEVA enterprise, works with senior management from IT, BD and Operations to ensure the best possible global solutions are available for our customers and CEVA employees alike.
The data architect will operate in the context of the set of the new Cloud Data Platform of CEVA and will contribute to its set up, development and growth and built up of the internal teams and resources of data architects and data analysts.
Main Responsabilities:
- Developing and implementing an overall organizational data strategy in line with business processes. The strategy includes data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems.
- Identifying data sources, both internal and external, and working out a plan for data management that is aligned with organizational data strategy.
- Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system.
- Managing end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture, and developing the application to finally testing and implementing the proposed solution.
- Planning and execution of big data solutions using appropriate technologies and ensure their full lifecycle and interoperability.
- Defining and managing the flow of data and dissemination of information within the organization.
- Integrating technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security.
- Conducting a continuous audit of data management system performance, refine whenever required, and report immediately any breach or loopholes to the stakeholders.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT systems design or development.
- Minimum 5 years of experience gained in data architecture and delivering large scale analytics data platforms environments.
- Knowledge of systems development, including system development life cycle, project management approaches and requirements, design and testing techniques
- Proven experience in design and building data models, data domains and understanding business data products (proficiency in data modeling and design, including SQL development and database administration).
- Understanding of predictive modeling, AI models and technologies, Data mining, visualization and Machine Learning
- Ability to implement common data management and reporting technologies, as well as the basics of columnar and NoSQL databases, data visualization, unstructured data, and predictive analytics.
- Strong and broad knowledge of latest technology stacks and trends, cloud-based data platforms and data lakes (preferably AWS and Snowflake technologies)
- Experience with data integration methods and technologies (e.g., ETL, Data Virtualization, Master Data Management, Data Warehouse/Lakehouse).
- Understanding of business strategy and ability to deliver recommendations in sync with key objectives and experience in developing and driving IT roadmaps.
- Capacity to coordinate and collaborate with users, system designers, and developers in their day-to-day functions. As such, soft skills like effective communication, team management, problem-solving, and leadership are highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen, ideally in the logistics sector.
- Fluent English and proven practice.
