Accounting Manager Canada

YOUR ROLE

Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and analysis of general ledger accounts, financial statements and other financial reports, ensuring compliance with General Accepted Accounting Principles. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Responsible for month end close of the 3 Canada entities
  • Analyse accounting data in MFP files to verify financial accruals
  • Prepare and approve Journal Entries
  • Responsible for monthly OneStream reporting
  • Complete/review GL account reconciliations
  • Capital asset and CIP reconciliations
  • Preparation of Canada entity financial statements for internal and external users
  • Liaise with Infosys and other corporate departments as required
  • Respond to financial queries from GHO
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports for GHO as required
  • Ensure adherence to company accounting methods, policies and procedures
  • POC for corporate internal audits
  • Investigate/assist in resolving systems issues 
  • Provide guidance/direction to Operations on accounting issues

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Good knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • General knowledge of Canada sales, VAT and corporate taxes to be able to assist the corporate tax department
  • Strong computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and systems
  • Able to work independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of the company
  • Ability to organize workload and tasks to meet goals and deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
