YOUR ROLE

Our HR Shared Services team, based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, is looking for an experienced HR Shared Services Specialist to join the team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a high-quality, responsive HR service across the business, while driving operational excellence through continuous improvement, effective use of HR systems and the ongoing enhancement of processes and employee experience.

This is a hybrid, Monday to Friday role.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the HR Shared Services Manager, you will provide day-to-day support across the employee lifecycle, acting as a trusted point of contact for HR queries while taking ownership of more complex and time-critical activities and knowing when matters should be escalated to HR Business Partners or senior stakeholders.  You will have a strong understanding of HR policies, procedures and employee lifecycle processes. Accuracy and attention to detail will be essential when managing sensitive activity such as starters, leavers, contractual changes, pay reviews, redundancy and medical severance calculations, TUPE activity and employee data. You will be confident reviewing complex information, maintaining data integrity and ensuring all activity is delivered in line with GDPR, internal governance and company policies.

You will also support HR projects, audits and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency and enhance the employee experience. Strong analytical skills will be important, with the ability to produce accurate standard and ad-hoc reports and use data to support informed business decisions.  Working closely with the wider HR team and Centres of Excellence, you will help ensure the smooth delivery of TUPE transfers and other large-scale projects. You will also support training and knowledge sharing, maintain accurate HR intranet content and promote manager self-service, while helping to build a consistent and customer-focused HR service across the business.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced HR professional with a strong understanding of the full employee lifecycle and experience working in a fast-paced HR or Shared Services environment.

You will be highly organised, accurate and comfortable managing high volumes of work and competing priorities. Strong Excel, data management and reporting skills are essential, alongside confidence using HR systems and ideally an HR ticketing system. Experience of process improvement, HR transformation and maintaining HR guides and processes would be desirable.

Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, with the ability to build strong relationships and manage stakeholders at all levels. You will be approachable, professional and solutions-focused, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?

With a genuine culture of reward and recognition, we want our employees to grow, develop and be part of our journey. We offer a benefits package that includes competitive annual leave entitlement with a fantastic holiday buy scheme, pension and life assurance. There’s no doubt that you will be compensated for your hard work and commitment so if you’d like to work for one of the top Logistics providers in the world then please do get in touch to find your next role.
