YOUR ROLE

 

We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to provide influential HR partnering, coaching and expertise to Business Unit Directors and their Senior Leadership Teams within our Contract Logistics Product Line.

 

This is an opportunity to play a key strategic role within the business, based at our Head Office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, shaping the people agenda and delivering HR solutions that support both our people and commercial performance.

 

Working collaboratively with the HR Centres of Excellence, you will balance strategic people priorities with commercial business needs, providing credible HR leadership across operating locations and sectors.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

  • Drive the implementation of the HR strategy across the business and play an active role within the leadership team, contributing to the overall People Plan.
  • Provide strategic leadership on the people aspects of business plans, organisational issues and business priorities.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, Business Unit Directors, customers and HR colleagues.
  • Support renewals, organic growth, new business tenders and bid management, from RFQ through to customer presentation.
  • Manage the commercial people implications of new business activity and project manage new business wins from a people perspective.
  • Deliver HR solutions that enhance commercial performance, ensuring the commercial impact of decisions is considered.
  • Lead on talent identification and development, building internal and external talent pipelines.
  • Build strong relationships with Trade Unions and local colleague committees, supporting communication and engagement.
  • Lead collective bargaining and industrial relations activity, including complex industrial relations situations.
  • Provide leadership on employee performance and development, identifying opportunities and understanding the commercial impact on the business.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who can establish credibility, influence at senior levels and provide constructive challenge.

 

You'll bring:

 

  • Experience working as a Senior HR Lead or Senior HR Business Partner.
  • Strong commercial and business acumen, ideally within a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation, particularly TUPE regulations.
  • Proven experience of leading complex industrial relations situations with senior union officials.
  • Experience of the tender management process from beginning to end.
  • Strong project and change management experience, with the ability to lead complex change across HR and business teams.

 

WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?

 

  • Experience delivering WMS and/or OMS implementation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Proven experience configuring and implementing Manhattan Active WMS.
  • Experience working within a 3PL or contract logistics environment.
  • Strong business analysis and requirements gathering capabilities.
