YOUR ROLE

 

Our Finished Vehicle Logistics team, based in Chipping Warden, is looking for a Systems Support Specialist who will be responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, and continuous improvement of operational systems across the Finished Vehicle Logistics function.

 

This is Monday to Friday, hybrid role.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

  • Provide first and second-line support for operational systems and applications across Finished Vehicle Logistics.
  • Act as the main point of contact for system queries, incidents and service requests.
  • Investigate and resolve system issues, escalating complex problems to IT teams, vendors or global support where required.
  • Manage user accounts, access permissions, system configurations and master data.   Support system testing, upgrades, implementations and digital transformation projects.
  • Deliver user training and create clear system guides and documentation.
  • Monitor data accuracy and system performance, ensuring systems remain reliable and fit for purpose.
  • Work with operational teams to identify and implement system and process improvements.
  • Support the introduction of automated and system-driven processes to improve efficiency.
  • Liaise with software vendors and third-party providers to resolve issues and support enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate support records, incident logs and change documentation.
  • Promote best practice system usage and support effective user adoption across the business.
  • Provide systems support across Compound, Workshop, Transport, Customer Management and Finance teams.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  • Significant experience supporting business-critical systems, ideally within logistics, automotive, transport, supply chain or a similar operational environment.
  • Experience providing first and second-line application support to business and operational users.
  • Experience with system administration, user access, master data and system configuration.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve system and data-related issues.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, testing and deployments.
  • Experience with Power BI, reporting tools or SQL is desirable.
  • Experience delivering user training, onboarding and supporting system adoption.
  • Understanding of UAT, defect management and change control processes.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and translate business needs into effective system solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
