YOUR ROLE
The mission of the Transport Planning Management Supervisor is to lead and coordinate transportation and logistics operations for aerospace sector clients, ensuring operational performance, customer satisfaction, compliance with safety and quality standards, and effective management of the transport planning team and associated resources.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
1. Operational Management & Customer Interface
- Supervise the collection and formalization of customers’ transportation requirements.
- Oversee the processing of transportation requests from customers, ensuring feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with service level agreements.
- Manage and supervise the execution of customers’ transportation schedules, guaranteeing on‑time performance and proactive issue resolution.
- Lead the implementation and proper use of the client’s TMS (Transport Management System), ensuring data quality and adoption by the team.
- Monitor invoicing processes, coordinate document handover, and follow up on payment collection in collaboration with finance and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure regular and transparent communication with internal and external customers on the status and performance of their operations.
- Oversee the handling of customer complaints, drive root cause analysis (8D, etc.), and ensure implementation and follow‑up of corrective and preventive actions.
- Consolidate and validate monthly operational and performance reports (KPIs, dashboards, analysis).
- Prepare, lead, and animate monthly steering committees and the quarterly COPIL (Logistics & Customs) with the client and internal stakeholders.
- Develop, validate, and regularly update SOPs and working instructions, ensuring they are communicated and applied by the team.
- Manage the client’s trailer fleet at an operational level, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize utilization, availability, and costs.
- Support the sales and business development teams for the aerospace sector by providing operational expertise, costings, and feasibility assessments.
2. Team Leadership & People Management
- Manage, coordinate, and support the transport planning team on a daily basis (workload allocation, priority setting, back‑up plans).
- Set clear goals and performance indicators for the team, monitor results, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Coach and develop team members through feedback, training, and skills development plans.
- Ensure proper onboarding and continuous training of new and existing team members on processes, tools (including TMS), and customer requirements.
- Encourage a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus within the team.
- Manage scheduling, leave planning, and resource adjustments to ensure operational coverage and continuity.
3. Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure the application and enforcement of the company’s quality, safety, security, and hygiene standards within your perimeter.
- Proactively identify and escalate any risk situation to your manager and relevant departments; lead implementation of mitigation actions in your area.
- Guarantee the health, safety, and working conditions of all stakeholders within your scope of responsibility.
- Ensure that all group standards and local regulations related to safety, well‑being at work, and transport activities are understood, applied, and monitored.
- Promote best practices and continuous improvement in safety and quality, leveraging tools such as 8D, audits, and internal reviews.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Minimum Bac +5 (Master’s degree) in transportation and logistics, international trade, supply chain, or a related field.
- Initial experience in a similar supervisory or team leader position within the transportation and logistics sector, or in the aerospace or automotive industry.
- Solid knowledge of national and international road freight transport.
- Proficiency in regulations related to international trade between Morocco and Europe.
- Knowledge of the specific requirements and constraints for transporting aerospace goods (security, packaging, lead times, documentation, etc.).
- Familiarity with transport management software (TMS) and tracking systems; experience leading TMS implementation or optimization is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge and practical use of quality tools (8D, root cause analysis, action plans).
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills, with a strong focus on meeting deadlines and service levels.
- Strong customer relationship skills, with the ability to build trust, ensure responsiveness, and uphold contractual and operational commitments.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, capable of drawing conclusions from data and proposing robust solutions.
- Ability to write clear, structured reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead meetings, deliver presentations, and speak confidently in front of clients and management.
- Ability to maintain a positive, solution‑oriented attitude and remain effective in a complex, fast‑moving environment.
- Confirmed experience in team management (coordination, coaching, performance monitoring).
