The UK Contract Logistics Operations function provides customised logistics and supply chain management solutions – from consultancy, planning, design and sourcing through to warehousing, assembly and distribution. Within the UK, the Operations function employs 5,000 people, operates c.3000 vehicles and occupies 124 warehouses totalling 800,000 sq. m with clients across FMCG, Hi-tech electronics, Industrial, Healthcare, Automotive and Publishing & Media sectors. 

The operation will provide essential Logistics services such as inbound & outbound customer fulfilment, value added services and utilisation of an approved network of transport providers. This is a dedicated and fast-paced 24/7 environment, embracing automation and operational best practices at the heart of the operation. We will embrace a culture of continuous improvement and drive excellent customer service. 

-    The Warehouse Team Leader is part of the operations team with responsibility for all contracts on site, whilst supporting their peers to ensure all customer requirements are satisfied. As directed by the Shift Manager, they will ensure both contractual targets are achieved, carrying out all relevant activities safely and securely, whilst observing company policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

-    The Team Leader must always adhere to site security processes and protocols without exception and immediately notify the management team if any individual is seen not to be following the required process.

-    Facilitate and manage the delivery of all operational requirements within their dedicated area, whilst challenging the efficiencies and clearly communicating with all relevant stakeholders.
