Assistant Warehouse Supervisor

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor for our site in The Haque. In this role, you will support the Warehouse Supervisor with capacity needs and personnel planning. You will divide the work, maintain oversight and monitor the team. In doing so, you play a key role in the quality of our services and customer satisfaction.

As an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor, you will ensure that employees meet the agreed KPIs and enjoy their work. Therefore, you coach your team in their development and provide input to the Warehouse Supervisor regarding performance development. You will also participate in projects aimed at improvements and present improvement proposals to your manager.

As an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor, you will:

• Determine daily capacity requirements and guide the team in their daily tasks;
• Lead the daily kick-off and actively engage in onboarding new employees;
• Monitor and adjust operational progress and ensure compliance with regulations;
• Solve problems that employees are not allowed or able to solve themselves;
• Manage the stock of consumables and packaging materials for your department;
• Take over the tasks of the Warehouse Supervisor in their absence;
• Participate in projects aimed at improving existing processes and propose improvement to your manager.

WHERE WILL YOU WORK?

The warehouse location in The Haque is a 31,000 sqm multi-user site where approximately 170 colleagues work together every day to contribute to our success.

The customers under your responsibility are industrial clients for whom we distribute spare parts worldwide. Together with one other Assistant Warehouse Supervisor, you will coordinate a team consisting of both experienced employees and new colleagues.

You will work from Monday to Friday between 07:30 and 17:30 and report to the Warehouse Supervisor.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are seeking an experienced warehouse employee who can act decisively and remain steadfast in new or challenging situations. You are results-driven, understand the importance of strong people management, and manage expectations clearly. Setting priorities and communicating proactively with internal stakeholders and customers comes naturally to you.

Additionally, you bring:

• At least 2 years of experience in a logistics environment;
• Knowledge of warehouse processes and automated information systems (WMS);
• Demonstrable experience with Lean methodology;
• Strong communication skills, resilience and a can-do attitude;
• Fluent command of English, both spoken and written (Dutch is not required).

Please note that we only consider candidates who reside in the European Union and already live within commuting distance of The Haque. Visa sponsorship and relocation support are not available for this position, and working on-site is required.

As an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor, you will receive:

• A gross monthly salary between € 2,720 and € 3,521 plus 8% holiday allowance (starting salary depends on experience);
• A one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent position;
• Employment conditions according to our own CEVA collective labor agreement (Dutch: cao), including 25 vacation days and 5 ADV days;
• A profit-sharing bonus of up to 3% based on positive business results;
• A solid pension plan;
• Travel allowance or an NS Business Card;
