Pay Range: $55,925-$69,907
YOUR ROLE
As a Sr. Linehaul Coordinator you will be the main executor of our planned fleet movements within our middle mile network between CEVA’s hub & stations, prioritizing critical shipments and ensuring the expectations of both internal & external customers are being met at the highest level. With a regionalized focus, you will monitor the optimization and utilization of both CEVA assets & outside vendors and work in collaboration with our fleet operations teams to ensure adequate coverage and optimal performance within the linehaul network. You will work closely with internal & external partners, analyzing trends & data, and implementing initiatives that lead to increased service, reduced costs, and operational efficiencies across every level of our planning process within fleet.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Assist management/leadership in the implementation of key business objectives & initiatives within Linehaul & Fleet operations, championing strategic initiatives and stepping in to support management tasks when needed
- Assist management in the monitoring of weekly KPIs of the department, analyzing trends, and offering insights on how to improve the efficiency of our operations
- Oversee the management & distribution of our dedicated lanes within our network, holding ICs/drivers to high levels of performance and managing out those falling short
- Maintain & manage the planning duties of the linehaul network, coordinating available fleet capacity with available trips & making schedule adjustments within your assigned region while meeting the service requirements for the network and outside customers.
- Manage the balance of cost & optimization of CEVA assets vs 3rd party/external vendors, ensuring utilization of the lowest cost alternative for every load to maximize profitability and control transportation costs while meeting service expectations.
- Provide ad hoc & contractual pricing support to our procurement/sales teams & stations in pursuit of revenue growth and supplemental lanes benefiting the optimization of our network
- Assist in the proper execution of movements within CEVAs linehaul network from creation to close, providing proper communication, documentation, troubleshooting and visibility to the proper parties throughout the lifecycle of the trip
- Lead efforts to maintain & grow our relationships with Hubs & stations across all regions to ensure proper lines of communication/feedback are established to drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with Fleet operations to ensure real-time visibility to fleet availability, trip status updates & delay notifications to proper parties
- Oversee monthly analysis & adjustments to Hub routing guides in order to optimize network flow
- Collect, prioritize, and analyze feedback from the team in order to build/lead initiatives focused on continuous improvement across processes, systems, and driver recruitment needs
- Ensure proper handoff, communication, and ownership of priorities and outstanding tasks when changing shifts and/or off duty
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; Typically at least two years of related logistics experience, or successful completion of a rotation program.
- Skills: Advanced transport, forwarding and logistics skills (AIR, FTL, LTL). Issue Resolution experience. High-level ability to multi-task. Ability to make decisions on his or her own and take ownership. Self-reliant. Basic to Intermediate skills with Microsoft Suite products, specifically Excel.
- Communication Skills: Must be fluent in English. Good communications skills, including the ability express oneself professionally in high-stress situations. Analytical and business-process driven, works well with data. Ability to think creatively and drive process improvements. Ability to strengthen relationships with internal & external parties. Flexible and adaptable to continuous improvement and changes to processes & systems
- Characteristics: Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs; Ability to perform in a team environment. Ability to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents
